Well, they spent years convinced that Ray Lewis didn't have anything to do with a murder too. Oakland Raiders East!

Figures. I was pretty vocal about the Ray Rice ordeal, and I'd be vocal if it were a Steeler.

I like the last sentence of that article, but I'm confused as to who the victim is. Who did his wife focus her apology on? I forget.

I read an article by a Baltimore Sun writer that was picked up by the AP and printed in my local paper where this guy was trying to defend Rice. He said Rice apologized and we all need to move past it. He then proceed to bloviate on what a great person Rice was, how he brought reporters cups of water on hot days at camp, he stayed late to sign autographs, he was active in the community. How this entire incident was basically due to Rice's mounting frustration with his injury plagued year that saw him struggling in every game.. So basically it's ok to smack your future wife and mother of your child around if your numbers are down and you have some boo-boos.

I did get quite a chuckle out of Rice's press conference where he said he was going to eventually have to explain to his 2-yr old daughter why he did what he did. Ok Ray please tell us how you explain to a child the reasoning behind why you knocked her mother out and dragged her caveman style from the elevator. What words will make that seem somehow less offensive than it is?

He just has to channel Junior Seau. Local law enforcement was aware of his domestic violence incidents, yet it didn't seem to get any press around here.

Silverback a few years ago? Not sure if he ever
    missed any games?
