3 first round picks for the Ravens: Queen, Bateman and Oweh were all invisible yesterday. "Nameless gray faces" indeed.

He has a way of capturing our exact thoughts when Hairball decided to go for two.

If it were just a bad game, then yes... I would agree. Is this not a trend and a norm for teams coached by Mike Tomlin? Look, I understand the guy isnt the worst in the league, and we have been very lucky all things considered. However, there are certain flaws that come with Tomlin. One of them is this "bipolarism" we see. Lots of career losses to teams that are far over-matched. Back to back home playoff games that the team isn't even ready to play (we found ourselves outscored 21-0 and 28-0 before we even decided to try). The Vikings game highlights this perfectly. We didn't seem to have a quality game plan aimed at stopping their #1 receiver with their #2 out. We just contained the Ravens rushing attack only to give up over 200 yards. We go for 2 down 9 points for some reason. We are again down 29-0 before anything changes... You can't say this isn't an indication of coaching issues. It just is.

I've long been a supporter of Tomlin, and have historically been a defender of his. Every week it becomes harder and harder to see him as a quality option to move this team in a positive direction moving forward.
