I think it reflects who is the better player right now. People were so used to accepting Donald as the best defensive player in the league that they robbed Watt of the DPOY award in 2020. He has been the better player for a while now. It took the sack record to finally get enough voters to realize it.

 

They could incorporate Cole Porter into the thread. Happily, it is a message board, so we wouldn't have to hear them sing.

Watt had the best season for sure but that doesn't dictate the better player. We've seen various people win mvp,dpoy, opoy etc.. and not be the best. Hell look at Cooper kupp. He won every award and broke every receiving record possible yet many will tell you devante adams is the best wr in the league.

Exactly how many seasons does Watt have to have in which he is more productive than Donald? He wasn't just better in 2021. He was better in 2020, too.

Russell is starting to talk about an extension. He is wanting a 5 year extension for $250 million. Wilson would be 35 years old when this started, so it would cover him until he was 40.

Russell left all his signing bonus money ($65 million) in Seattle, so all he is getting paid from Denver is his salary + Roster bonus money for the next 2 years. $24 / $27

Amazing how many players are now planning on playing into their 40s thanks to Tom Brady.

I do not have a clue why you would not want your brand new QB playing in Preseason games with his new Head Coach, New Offensive Coordinator, and his new to him WRs, and RBs???

I just don't get it. The donkeys gave up 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, a 5th round pick, plus Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, and Noah Fant. Now giving him $245M with $165M guaranteed for 5 year extension. Dude is 33 and has yet to play a regular season snap for the donks. That is just nuts and they better hope it pans out. I just don't see them being able to beat out the Chiefs and Chargers. Big risk with high likelihood for failure as far as I'm concerned.

 

These contracts are beyond ridiculous. I just got to what amounts to a bag of peanuts for a pay raise and my corporation thinks that they broke the bank meanwhile they made almost a 400 million dollar profit last year. Not bad for a semi small business.

meanwhile pro athletes are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars and some of them lecture us about being oppressed.

Good lord this is stupid.

I hope he falls flat on his face while laughing on the way to the bank and bringing the Donkeys no Championships.

 

What a disaster for him this year, so bad and combined with the success of Geno Smith in Seattle, it could cost the HOF for Wilson if he doesn't bounce back big time next year in Denver

 

If fans here think it’s bad, imagine being a Broncos fan. They’re as bad, or worse, than the Steelers.

They’re stuck with Wilson for years - and unlike Pickett he’s not a young QB who might become better as time goes on. He’s an old QB who’s only going to get worse.

And they don’t even own their own 1st, which is looking like it could be a top-5 pick. Nor do they own next year’s 1st.

 

If You will read earlier in this thread....I didn't think Wilson would help them.

,and complained about not trading for Him, A. Rodgers, and Mariota. LoL. Not a one will say....Hey....I was wrong.

I am betting this is a one and done coach for Broncos, Jim Harbaugh will take over.
