    Just on this. LoL
You should learn to listen to me more often. LoL
It's funny to read that all the reasons people didn't wanted Russell to start....disappeared as soon as He started.
It just proves that just because lots of people believe something....it doesn't make it true, and I'm not saying just some on here, but 90% of the media was saying the exact same .....wrong stuff.

my guess is that Russ gets a 3 yr deal - he and Mike (FINALLY) go out together

I was all in on Russ, day 1 - for whatever that is worth.

Pickens has a pulled hamstring, 2-3 week injury.

    BOTH are true.

regarding MEDIA - they are just men (women) - NOT GOD

It would been the wrong move if Wilson was washed and it was a big concern for me....But this is the right move since Wilson is close to the level he was in Seattle and Tomlin knew a lot more than we did because he saw Wilson in practice.

that is it. Tomlin and Smith saw, knew much more than we could see.

I was hedging from what I remembered with him and that he is only 35 yrs. old...

For the record.... I said Steelers should start Wilson over Fields long before he got injured in preseason.

There was plenty of reason to believe he was washed. Kudos to the people who saw past it and believed otherwise.

All the matters is we have a QB that gives this team a real shot to make some noise in the playoffs.

Funny the week before the move was made Smith talked about it being nice about a QB having no ego or something and many assumed that was a shot at Russell. The media is wild! LOL

yes - the media is....well - THE MEDIA. and social media - AKA - our typing off and on here, is much the same!!!

many times, NONE OF US knows the full story, the real story, etc. and we know little of context of statements made - and God knows how much garbage day in and day out is without ANY context - in all of our lives!!

No crap....now read at how I was attacked for saying that about Mina K about this exact thing.
Also I thought it was pretty simple.
Russell Wilson had the exact overall Tds, and over turnovers in one less game than the MVP last year had. That should have told everyone that He wasn't done...., and watching the games showed they weren't just garbage tds, but people said well he didn't win. By that explanation Burrow sucks even though he has 33 tds, and only 6ints....just because his defense sucks.

The TD-INT ratio don't always tell the whole story....I mean Rodgers has a good ratio(not great but still good) this year in the NFL standard(22 TD-9 INT) but he is complete garbage and washed and the Jets are 3-10!

I had said before this season, what I wanted Russell to do with us,was the big play on offense and he is great in it,one of the best or the best in the NFL right now!

    People say I'm crazy
    Doing what I'm doing
Well, they give me all kinds of warnings
    To save me from ruin
When I say that I'm okay, well they look at me kinda strange
"Surely, you're not happy now, you no longer play the game"

I'll stand by my initial assessment from October. I was one game off on the W/L record. I didn't think Russ was the answer when we picked him up. And even more convinced he's not now. I don't know if Fields would've been any better long-term or not. But what we've done is wasted a year we could've used to figure out if the younger guy with more upside could be the guy. For the record I don't think our answer at QB is on the roster now. And won't be next year either. We're minimum 2-3 yrs away from having our long-term QB on our roster.
