Question about extended practice squad and Worllds

    With the extended practice squad and the possibility of Worllds not being around, what would everyone's opinion be of signing Michael Sams to the practice squad when the Rams cut him? Potential vs distractions? He has been good against second and third string.

    Sam plays DE, and he weighs 265 he doesn't fit the 3/4 defense. I don't think the Rams will cut him either.

    He's the same size as Worilds (and Woodley at one point)...4-3 DEs generally play OLB in the 3-4...size wise he's fine...as far as skill/etc to make the transition...I have no clue (though a number of draft sites said he'd be a better OLB than DE...so who knows) but I'm sure he could with coaching/etc.

    Plus I havent seen anything about him getting cut...from what I've heard he's played fairly well for them.

    Yea i dont think he will get cut either. Not looking too bad and showing "some" potential. Dont think they will get rid of just yet.

    He's stiff and not athletic enough to play OLB.
