    DEFENSE:

Let's start here as I think it is much easier place to start because I think so much of the roster is already set.

Dline - 6: Thomas, McLendon, Heyward, Tuitt, McCullers, Mauro

Interesting here. All rookies on the 2nd team. To me Mauro continues to impress and I don't see anyone catching him at the moment. When it comes to McCullers, I know there is debate about him at the moment, but I think he stays on potential alone. Fangupo MAY be better at this moment, but I bet he isn't better at the end of the year.

LB - 9: Worilds, Timmons, Shazier, J. Jones, Williams, Spence, Moats, Garvin, So'oto

This one was really tough for me after the first 8. Honestly, I think Carter has a shot at staying instead of So'oto, but I like So'oto's splash plays. H. Jones is the only other guy I think has a shot, but I think they stash him on the PS for further development.

CB - 5: Ike, C. Allen, Gay, Blake, McCain

I wasn't sure about this spot last week, but I feel really good about this unit right now as being pretty well set. Richardson being out didn't help his cause and I think may have been intentional to help hide him. More on him in the S section.

    S - 5: Mitchell, Troy, Thomas, Golden, W. Allen

I think the first 4 guys on this list are givens, but I don't see that with Allen. If Golden continues to step up and Thomas keeps making splash plays, Allen may be in trouble. Yes, he is a vet, but a vet who I think will be there in a few weeks if needed.

    OFFENSE:

    QB - 2: Ben, Gradkowski

Interesting here, I saw L. Jones staying up until Saturday. He just may not have it. At this point, he could still be there at week 10 should we need another guy. I'm not even sure I would keep him on the PS. I have a plan for his roster spot.

RB - 4: Bell, Blount, Archer, W. Johnson

Can a 4th RB earn a spot even if it is mostly for special teams?

WR - 6: A. Brown, Wheaton, J. Brown, Bryant, Moore, DHB

I have kept a 6th at the moment. The final O position I think could come down to this....Do we need to carry an extra LS? Who is better the extra RB or the extra WR for special teams. If I was choosing the best WR here, I would probably keep Moye, but DHB is the better special teamer.

TE - 3: Miller, Spaeth, Blanchflower

The top 2 TE spots are set. Blanch is a complete crapshoot. I have no idea at this point. None of the 4 really stand out to me. I would like to think we have an impact guy here, but I don't know. This is my guess.

OL - 9: Beachum, Foster, Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert, Adams, Whimper, Wallace, Johnson

Probably one of the easiest positions for me. Johnson may go PS and Hubbard is kept, but I think we will get a better feel as the week goes on this week. Does Johnson still only get 3rd team reps?

    Specials:

P - Podlesh....if they wanted Wing, they could have just cut Podlesh. They want him to have a shot IMO.

    K - Suisham....this is a given, but dude...get better.

LS - Warren, Luke Ingram....2? Really? Yes for the first couple of weeks. They have always been loyal to Warren. This allows them to watch the waiver wire and see if they want to add another RB or TE or potentially add in a backup QB who would be an upgrade.

I could see warren designated as the player to return after week 6. I would keep davis as the 3rd TE instead of blanchflower and with willJ playing a bigger TE role that would keep davis as the LS. ingram and blanchflower on the PS until we see what happens with warren.

I do agree so'oto could have played himself into a spot on the 53. moats will be the 3rd OLB, but so'oto has shown playmaking ability and he knows the 3-4 too after playing for dom capers. if he and carter are neck and neck, so'oto has shown more splash play ability so far.

Let's start here as I think it is much easier place to start because I think so much of the roster is already set.

Dline - 6: Thomas, McLendon, Heyward, Tuitt, Mauro, Arnfelt

I think we ride with McLendon at NT with Thomas as the backup there if needed. No true NTs.

LB - 9: Worilds, Timmons, Shazier, J. Jones, Spence, Moats, Carter, Williams, Garvin

We're in great shape at ILB ... at OLB we're some undetermined shape.

CB - 5: Ike, C. Allen, Gay, McCain, Blake

I think our starting CBs are weak, and the future doesn't look any better.

    S - 5: Mitchell, Troy, Thomas, Golden, W. Allen

Allen looks past his due date, and I'm still not sold on Golden. On the plus side, the more important 3 are looking fine.

    OFFENSE:

    QB - 2: Ben, Gradkowski

Keeping Jones would be a waste of a roster spot.

RB - 4: Bell, Blount, Archer, W. Johnson

Great group. No point in keeping more than 4.

WR - 6: A. Brown, Wheaton, Moore, DHB, Bryant, Brown

Not much outside of AB. If Lance Moore can still play, he's keeping it under wraps. Wheaton is a starter by default. Bryant is green as grass. Not our grass, but I've heard that grass is actually green in other places. I think DHB makes it because he's fast, he can block OK, and he can run down field and make a tackle.

TE - 3: Miller, Spaeth, Palmer

No real reason for keeping Palmer, but someone had to make it.

OL - 9: Beachum, Foster, Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert, Wallace, Whimper, Adams, Johnson

Adams should get cut, but he won't be.

    Specials:

P - 1: Podlesh ... or whatever piece of dog poo we pick off the trash heap this season.

K - 1: Suisham ... not great, but great from inside of 50 yards

LS - 2: Warren & some other guy ... 2 LS??? Yeah, 2 LS. :lolol:
