    OFFENSE (25):

    Ben/Gradkowski/Landry

    Bell/Dwyer/Redman/LSH/W. Johnson

    Heath (PUP)/Spaeth/Paulson/D. Johnson
(Palmer replaces Spaeth if he is out for the year until Heath is back, then he gets cut.)

    A. Brown/Sanders/Wheaton/Cotchery/J. Brown

    Adams/Foster/Pouncey/DeCastro/Gilbert/Malecki/Beachum/J. Long/Whimper

    DEFENSE (24):

    Keisel/McLendon/Hood/Heyward/Woods

    Woodley/Foote/Timmons/Worilds/Jones/McFadden/Sylvester/V. Williams/Robinson
    (Baxter goes to the PS)

    Ike/Allen/Gay/Brown/Hawthorne

    Troy/Clark/Golden/Cromartie-Smith/Thomas

    SPECIALS (3):

    Suisham
    Warren
    Butler

That leaves one spot open. The last spot for me comes down to Ta’amu, Fangupo, Demarcus VanDyke, or Victorian. With our injuries at corner at the moment, the last 2 have an advantage, but you never know how the FO will look at things, especially giving up on someone they liked enough to move up in the draft in Ta'amu.

Tunch and Wolf have said a couple of times that Ta'amu hasn't show jack so far and is lookin lost. What a huge disappointment this guy have been so far. Wolfely likes what he has seen from Fangupo though, said he is strong, real strong...

Hard to say if they would take either of those guys over VanDyke or Victorian for purely just special teams reasons though...

Tarheel, isn't it fun predicting the 53. I did one after the draft and OTA's and I'll redo it after Sat's game then a final one right after the last pre-season game.

I haven't been home long nor had much time to digest your selections. There are a few quick comments I'll make,

    1) I doubt both David & Will Johnson make the final 53.
    2) I'm leaning to put Landry on the PS and John Parker on the final 53.
    3) Not sure I like 10 DBs or Sylvester though I've heard he's having a good camp.

I don't think there is any chance that Will J doesn't make the 53 and I think D Johnson will make it by default. We've lost Spaeth and Heath won't be ready.

And I don't think they will risk losing Landry by putting him on the PS given where they drafted him.

I hope Baxter outplays Sylvester, I think I've seen enough of Sly.

So Dunn isn't gonna make it? Will he make the PS though? Maybe it would be handy to let him blow past our guys on the actual roster just to keep them on their toes. LOL.

I agree about Will Johnson. Here's my thoughts about David. We know what we have in him and it ain't all that. every year each team has about 5- 7 TEs in camp and David was a camp body with experience, getting one last shot. I don't think he gets it by default. We'll keep 3 TEs on the 53. Miller will be back week one even if he has to wait to week 2-3 to play. The new IR and PUP will keep him TOO Long.

Paulson will be our new #1 ( he has performed very well so far ) till Miller returns. That's two TEs to start the seasons 53. One last spot will be either Jamie McCoys or Michael Palmer, our newest signee @ TE. He is 6'5" and in his 4th year. He spent two years behind Tony Gonzalez in Atlanta. I'm hoping something rubbed off on him.

You may very well be right about Landry Jones not clearing waivers. Will the Steelers chance it or will they keep him "solely" due to his draft status? This is a tough one. Is Landry struggling due to "deer in the headlights" syndrome or is his struggles due to his in-accurate and less than cannon arm he showed in college? Parker is a vet, one that's been inconsistent. He has a true cannon of an arm. In camp it seems he's fixed those inconsistencies. decisions. Decisions!!

I'm hoping McFadden & Kion Wilson outplays Sly as I too have seen enough of him. In the end I just want some real solid LBers.

I really want to see both getting decent game time during preseason. We know what Gradkowski and Ben can do. I'm intrigued to see how JPW fits into a Steelers offense.

I hope Paulson plays the 1st series only. Then let's see Jamie finish out the 1st half. I also would like to see how they change things up using more 21 packages utilizing Wil Johnson seeing how historically we've used many 2 TE sets and few 1 TE 2 Back sets. We're running low on TEs but barring any more injurys we'll be okay.

Agree. I want Ben out of there quickly, no more than the 1st series. Bruce can work the rest of the 1st and 1st series in the 2nd. After that JPW and LJ can fight it out, may the better QB win!!!!!!!!!!

I read they are fast tracking palmer for tonight. tuitopupupoopoopu xxxxxxxxxx ok let's just call him peter, he's been at all of the camp so he may get a lot of time later tonight. he's the kid from san jose st..

I've said all along we will use will j. more when the season starts. he was an H-back in his last year or two at WVU. he was a WR there before that. he's a talented guy. he's also pretty big and rough to tackle out in space. not to mention I heard he's had some good runs in camp so far. you think bell's big, those DB's will be shatting themselves.

In past seasons this would just be a case of standing them both behind our o-line and see who died first...

    Hopefully different this time round.
