I just looked up the salary of a practice squad player and it is pretty darn good. If you have less than 2 years in the league and are on the squad for the entire year, you rake in $207,000. A vet with over 2 years in the league can make anywhere between $277,000 and $358,000 for the year depending on your length of service in the league.

You should look at the minimum base salary for vested veterans. Several years ago it was a just about a million dollars. I looked at it when people were clamoring to cut the long snapper because he was one of the few players left besides Ben who played on the 05 SB team and they thought paying a long snapper a million dollars was too much.

Leglue should be on the active roster and Kendrick Green should be on the practice squad

Nothing to sneeze at, but these guys live like the last night before the big cut. An injury can propel them back to the 53, or just as quickly they can be dropped and sent packing. There was a former RB (name forgotten) who shared a glimpse into that life. They are used in different positions as the scout team and it's pretty grueling. They earn those bucks.

Practice Squad money ain’t bad, but it’s a fraction of the NFL minimum. The issue is the practice squad tend to be week-to-week, few players stay in it the whole yr. A team gets a couple of injuries to their WRs, a PS LB gets let go to put WRs on it. A kid from the local high school spent 2-3 yrs bouncing from one teams PS to another. I’d guess he spent no more than 6-8 weeks per season on an actual PS and the rest of his time trying to get signed to another one.

And it is too their practice squad. I thought he would be here running the scout team on our practice squad.

What waste of a 7th round pick!

I wonder if the Steelers will sign another QB to the practice squad to replace him?

FYI- Dobbs made the 53 man roster in Cleveland as Josh Rosen was cut.

Blough was released by the Lions. I don’t know if he’s latched on anywhere yet. I like his fearlessness.

That QB the Jets cut Chris Strelever (sp) could be a practice squad type of QB.

The Jets always have tons of top round talent that they missmanage. It's not a good thing, its what happens when youre always a bottom 5 team in the league.

One week pay is $11,500 for players under 2 years experience. $15,400 to $19,900 a week for players over 2 years.

I like that kidd. Was be the one that was doing punt returns in the first game? If so i wonder why they stopped. And I would not be shocked if someone picked him up.
