There is zero chance of Pouncey being moved to Guard.

    Lovely.

I think about the OLine that has been in injury and talent shambles for 5 years . Coupled with with getting rid of a guy that, whether deserved or not, made the pro bowl. Maybe he has to much free time and voted himself like crazy on nfl.com but has won and played well.

The nfl is a business first and a sport second. If we disagree, I don't think I have the time nor the space to explain why the nfl is. As in any business, it is not only cheaper but smarter to retain known employees. The concept removes variables from an equation of success. You can build around what you know.

Outside of all the "done for me lately" and " it's a business" drabble. Pouncey played and will play the second most importan, if not the most, calling out protection is paramount to success of an OLine, position on the OLine. Undersized? Guard? I see a player that will THRIVE in an moving (zone) scheme.

To give a comparison of what I feel is being argued, AB goes down with an mcl. WR are big on the market. Do we get rid of him for draft picks because we replaced him with guys that preformed well enough? Remember, Ramon Foster was calling out protection after pouncey went down.

This is not me saying lets sign him long term. This is me saying he is under contract and we know what he is good and bad at accomplishing. Let's see, how our best olineman does, with maybe, the best OLine coach around.

I can live that... Hoping for a solid line this season!

he'd be a tall receiver. probably fight for the ball. he would be a mismatch in the red zone. a much better prospect than evans or ebron. and that 40 time. wow. he's killing our cap though. probably the highest paid wr tandum in the league. yikes.:cool:
