Nice detailed report. What I like that you make your opinion and case and explain so there is substance.

Its just complaint fatigue when fans in general just say everyone's a bust...everyone sucks and everyone should be fired now.

The gameday thread has so much emotion and I catch myself piling on the defense but Im spoiled for sure with all the great defenses in the 1990s and basically a few decades of top 5 defenses year in and year out.

Wasn't a fan of Butler if we assume he called the shots as sacks were produced against the poor teams but then were rare against teams like the Pats.

He has 433 yards going into OT, might go over 500.

I remember when coach Noll became HC and told the team that most of the players would not be around much longer simply because they were not very good.

Uh, Seattle played 2 deep safeties the entire game. They weren't going to let Rodgers unleash. Unfortunately Rodgers got little help from his receivers.

I did note there were far fewer snaps under center by Rodgers in this game. That was something that worked well in Gm1.

I think a lot of our problems point to coaching. Pat Meyer needs to go. I’m not sure if Austin is actually the D coordinator, but this is the highest paid D and they are giving up huge yards and points to lower tier offenses. Bring in an actual D coordinator and let him do the job. Tomlin has to keep his mitts out of it. I think our offense may be able to do some things if Rodgers has some time, but Smith needs to scheme better…. Maybe try the middle of the field with some slants, crossers…. We have some speedy guys, use them. The special teams TD…. Johnson has to know the rules. I don’t think he should’ve been back there anyway, as he’s not a fast, quick twitch player…. For me, he’s not a fit on kick return, so it’s a poor coaching decision from the start.

This defense is garbage. It's been garbage for awhile.

I'm not sure we beat NE. Their QB looks pretty good.

ok --- I made an error --they played Warren more --he did good. But they can cut Gainless and stand around rookie today...Wow our DEF. is really worth all that money--Right--Mr. Rooney.Cam and TJ are robbing him like bandits.

I think they are trying to get him some touches so he can break through. As an NFL RB he is not even a good back up. He is not flashing anything. Remember when they put AB back to receive punts and what happened? #20 needs a can of Pledge and a rag because he is going to be a bench rider.

Didn't look at the board until now being in the watering hole watching the debacle.

The wonderful archaic Bags Tomlin zone coverage.

No worries he is taking care of his family [IMG]

The highest paid defense looks small. The Bags Tomlin archaic scheme.

Arthur Smith was doing his best Canada impression.

Lucky to win against the Jets and now this.

    Oh well...

Turning point in that game was Austin. What the heck was he doing.

And then Johnson, wtf, did he not know he touched it or not know the rules???

3rd culprit is the defense and two games in it has been absolute ass. Hopefully Harmon makes a difference when he gets back.

He returned kicks as a freshman at Iowa but each year he returned less as his use in the offense increased. He returned none his junior year. I agree though, not real sure why they have him returning kicks. He lacks the explosiveness and top end speed of elite kick returners.

So disappointed in Watt so far this season. Dude is the highest paid defensive player in the league and hasn't proved that he was worth the money so far.
Disappointed in the coaching, but I've been disappointed in Tomlin since about 2016
    Sad. Just sad
