Position Battles after OTAs - Defense

Dline: Arnfelt, Williams, Fangupo, and McCullers are all options for what appears to be two or three spots.

LB: Before I did this exercise, I was looking at the offense and thought WR would be the most competitive position in camp. I have changed my mind, I think it is LB. Assuming we keep 9, I think we have 3 spots left for all of these guys all of which I truly believe have at least an outside shot at the roster: C. Carter, Garvin, H. Jones, So'oto, Spence, Wilson, and Zumwalt. That is 7 guys....for 3 spots. 4 of the guys to the left are NOT making the roster.

CB: Big question here is do we keep 5 or 6 CBs. 3 are easily set. The others....Belue, Blake, Green, McCain, Richardson, and Smith. That is 6 guys for 2 or 3 spots depending upon how we create the rest of the roster.

S: Very little competition here. I think the only decision here is, do we keep 5 safeties or only 4. To me, is Golden making the roster or not.

I will say this...we have created some competition on this side of the ball for roster spots, but I think some of that is because we have some holes to fill and are throwing a BUNCH of guys at it hoping someone sticks. CB and OLB are still weaknesses, especially in the depth department.

if McCain outshines golden or golden outshines will allen there could be a change. McCain,golden and allen are the wildcards. smith and belue to the PS. I'd keep them both around.
