And it does. But you might have the wrong ideas about what that means.

"Immunity" refers to the immune system being prepared, as if the person already survived a previous case. It does not mean they can't get sick again. For example, Olympic medalist Tom Dean had Covid twice in 2020. (If you would like a different example than Covid, shingles results from a reactivation of the dormant chickenpox virus.) Also, every description about the vaccines talk about 75-95% effectiveness. No one has claimed 100% effectiveness (unless that person is trying to spread misinformation).
