It’s official, if Pittsburgh wins Thursday and the Bangles lose to the 49ers on Sunday Pittsburgh will be 7th regardless of the outcome on other games. Bangles got banged up, so our chances look great…..

    Lots of Football to play.

Ravens could lose to Browns, Packers, Bengals, and Steelers.

Steelers gotta win, rinse and repeat.

The Steelers got the help they needed overall yesterday. The Raiders losing on a last second FG to Washington and the Broncos losing in Kansas City last night were important results that get overlooked that the Steelers really needed to go their way and they did. You didn’t want two more teams continuing to be ahead of the Steelers out of all those teams bunched up in the AFC. They were gonna get help either way with the Chargers and Bengals game result and are now just a half game out of a wildcard spot behind two teams, and still just a game out in the loss column behind the Ravens with a win against them.

Now this coming Sunday the Bengals get the Niners at home in a huge game for the Niners to win, and the Ravens get the Browns in Cleveland in a game the Browns MUST win to keep their season alive. So like you mentioned a win in Minnesota Thursday against a demoralized banged up Vikings team that lost to the Lions on the last play of the game to finally give them their first win and you have a chance to be possibly in a playoff spot come Sunday evening or even better maybe a half game out in the division race behind the Ravens. Huge game in Minnesota on Thursday. The Steelers really need too and should win this game against the Vikings.

If if if if if........... We tied Detroit in Pittsburgh so confidence is low going into Minn.

Watt will need another amazing game because any team in the NFL can stop our offense.

Post-Ravens game is always a slog, roadie Thursday will just make it all that much harder. Vikings playing for their lives, too.

Use double coverage on Jefferson, no Theilen or Cook in this game.

Can as in the ability exists, sure but Baltimore wasn't able to stop the offense from scoring 17 points in the 4th quarter.

IMO if we win 3 out of last 5 we are in. Out if any less.

Too many 3 and outs on offense... not nearly enough 3 and outs on defense. Ravens had a 99 yard TD drive yesterday.

Although i'm cautiously optimistic that win was very satisfying yesterday.

Its a pretty big game Thursday. Win it, and you will almost get the mini bye week type of thing with 10 days rest going into the next home game.

Steelers catching a few breaks with other teams. Vikings will be still be minus Dalvin Cook

Titans will still not have Henry and they have been reeling a bit as of late.

Chiefs don't look like some scary bunch that there were the past 3 seasons. They are beatable. Not sure that we can beat them but, I don't think they are what the used to be. But they are playing better ball.

Still a mighty tough road for Steelers for a playoff spot, but at least they played with more urgency and heart yesterday than the past 3 weeks.

While I don't think either team (Ravens or Steelers) is very good this year, yards do not matter. All that matters is that the Steelers have more points than the other team at the game. The Ravens could have had 600 yards of offense and 4 99 yard drives, if they lose it's meaningless.

The oddsmakers agree with you with the Vikings opening as a 3.5 point favorite.

These 3 and outs on offense and lack thereof on defense does not bode well if by some miracle the AFC keeps imploding and Steelers end up in the playoffs. It will be one and done yet again.

Yeah that doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement for the Vikings.

I agree with everything you said. The Steelers can probably afford one more loss and still make the playoffs it just can’t happen this week in Minnesota or the following week at home against the Titans. They have to win both those games and get to 8-5-1. I think they can afford to lose in Kansas City as long as they beat the Browns at home the following week. That would get them to 9-6-1 heading into the final week of the season in Baltimore. And at that point who knows that might be good enough to put them in position to still have a shot to win the AFC North. The Bengals still have to play at Denver and at Cleveland and games at home with the Niners, Ravens, and Chiefs which is not gonna be easy for them. The Steelers and Bengals both have 5 losses so anything and everything is still possible.

Whether they are ready for Thursday or not, we will blame Tomlin.

The reality of the Steelers is they are a mediocre team. Mediocre is a C grade. Enough to graduate from college but you are still average. Do not be surprised if the Steelers are 8-8-1 when it is all said and done. Lamar Jackson is starting to get figured out in the league. Do not be surprised, in a few years, if the Ravens have to go with another QB. He still can't read defenses or make sound, in pocket passes in a quick decision making process.

When the Steelers play a sound QB, they get smoked. They are the worst 3rd down defense I have ever seen. Doesn't matter if its 3rd and 14 or 3rd and 2. The other team converts almost every time on 3rd. And when a team gets inside the 5, there is hardly any resistance in stopping the other team from waltzing in and scoring TDs.

Ben had his best game yesterday. But the defense is so bad. Devin Bush looks about done. The offensive line is young and will get better. The receiving core is really good. The steelers have a star at tight end coming. The offense is in great shape. But the defense is really bad and the only time they look ok is when they play against a QB who isnt good at exposing the zones the steelers play.

I am going to enjoy the wins and watch Big Ben go with the send off this year. But seeing playoffs and a chance to compete there? Not likely. My hope is also that TJ Watt stays healthy another 5 games so he can break Michael Strahan's sack record of 22.5 sacks and win his long overdue DOPY award.

tie'ing DET will keep us out, said that the night it happened.

Can't show up one week and not the next - this is the NFL.

our offense stinks. nothing consistent or reliable, ever.

Ben gave us one more Vintage Ben 4th Q - he has given us some great memories over the many years!!

This sticks out like a sore thumb. Steelers O needs a lot of players next year, including the most important.
