Ah. That makes sense. Take tight end out and put inside linebacker in there and it's a solid list.

Looking at the roster, the turnover maybe greater than expected.
Steelers FO have their work cut out for them.

Disagree about edmunds. Don’t see Wormley returning. He’s getting up there in age and has the added torn acl late in the season

    Or Cliff Stout

He had an NFL pension before he threw a pass

I don’t think he even had a helmet just a ball cap and clipboard

You could be correct. That I don't know. I do know it's a great gig.

I know right. Still doesn’t make any sense the way it was worded.

Brown isn't that good to be paying him 20 million or more, the Chiefs couldn't agree on a long-term deal with him either, not interested. I would rather they find a LT in the draft.

Ideally yes, the draft is of course the optimal way to fill the needs they have, particularly at expensive positions like Tackle and Corner. It’s a bit of a crapshoot however, with half of first round picks not living up to their draft position.

The wider point I was making is that they now have the room to bring in some established veterans if they want. I think some people still perceive the Steelers as cash strapped. There are actually only a handful of teams with more room over the next three years, and the Steelers dont really have any home grown players coming up that will command big deals, maybe Highsmith?

They are going to have to bring in help in free agency in the coming years if they want to be competitive.

He's not going to take the usual low ball offer. He already said he is going to test free agency. He is a quality corner our #1 at this point.

He is arguably the best D Lineman as of now. The unfortunate knee injury might prompt him to take a friendly deal but not peanuts.

Ogunjobi can't stay healthy. And cost 8 mill for this year. So I agree.

I don't feel they will let both QB's go. One will stay. Roll the dice.

Kazee I feel will take a small deal for a year.

Myles Jack would have to restructure to stay. I would have him over Bush. Let the fashion plate go elsewhere. What a disappointment! Need to get Mark Robinson snaps the rest of the season.

I don't understand where you get this idea that Wormley is their best defensive lineman. He assisted on a sack last week. Great. He does blow up the occasional play, but most of the time, he's getting pushed around. He isn't even close to Heyward's level. Hell, he's not on Ogunjobi's level.

It's all moot because he is out not only for the season, but possibly the start of 2023. His best-case scenario is getting peanuts from whatever team decides to roll the dice on his recovery.

I know they will have plenty of cap space, but I don't see them spending like half of their cap space on one player like Brown, they have too many holes to fill.

Build from the inside outward. Get some talent on both interior lines. Everything that's done on both sides of the ball is predicated on the big guys winning in the trenches.

I agree, but something has to change at CB. We need a real number one at this position....badly.

If they lose Sutton the cornerback room will be even weaker. They really should have extended him last offseason.

Ideally they draft their LT, I’m with you on that. Let’s hope they find a good one.

There is a danger with so many holes that they spread the money around and end up average or below average in a lot of areas. Several years of poor drafting and team building has caught up. Colbert got away quite lightly when he retired, he left a very poor setup behind him in spite of being recognised as one of the best in the business.

Add corner and ILBer to the list. Oh and a real #3 OLBer that can actually do something.

I don't even know if they make backup QBs like Gary Kubiak any more. (Backup QBs seemed to play in more games at the end in the 4th QTR than they do now)

    Gary Kubiak
Kubiak was selected in the eighth round with the 197th overall pick of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, the same year quarterback John Elway was drafted with the first overall pick by the Baltimore Colts before forcing a trade to Denver. Kubiak played his entire career for the Broncos as a backup for Elway, a Hall of Famer.

In nine seasons, Kubiak appeared in 119 regular-season games and went 3–2 as a starter. He completed 173-of-298 passes (58.1%) while throwing for 14 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, and 1,920 yards while part of three AFC Championship teams. Kubiak replaced Elway at the end of the Broncos' defeats in Super Bowl XXI and Super Bowl XXIV.

I thought the same thing last offseason they should've extended Sutton, they probably could've gotten him a little bit cheaper too, he's not a #1CB but I like his versatility.

At his salary they might not want him back, or he might want to move on for another opportunity.
