That’s how I would know my father was truly angry. You would get a little laugh out of him at an odd time. I learned fairly early on that was a sign of trouble to come

When I started watching the Steelers Buddy Parker was their head coach. The Steelers back in 1960's weren't very good but they were a physical team that gave every thing they had on the field. Ernie Stautner, Big Daddy Lipscomb, Bill Saul etc. They would have broken someone in half if they loafed on the field or laughed after a terrible loss.

Strummer, we’ve had our disagreements but I swear I was getting ready to post the exact same thing when I read your comment. My dad would let out a little laugh just before he was getting ready to drop the hammer (or the belt, lol) on me. That’s how you knew he was getting frustrated and something not so good was about to go down.

Exactly. Camera catching someone smiling or laughing doesn’t sum up how they feel overall. I’m sure that was a very solemn locker room afterwards.

When I’m seen us in games almost as bad as this in the past I start to look at and take notice of individual players efforts. Can Heyward has always been a good example. Now Mincah too. Warren is becoming that kind of guy.

LOL what else could you do after they nearly had the guy in the end zone twice and then watched the ball sail over their heads to a wide open receiver?

This reminds me of that moment in “Moneyball” when Billy Bean scolded a star (I think it was Boone maybe) and then promptly traded him for multiple roll players to great effect and huge warning shot for the rest of the team.

I can’t wait to find out who was enjoying themselves and start to see how we upgrade in attitude.

Fans are not players. We are allowed to laugh to keep from crying. They shouldn’t be doing either. I want them to get focused and intensified for the money they make. It’s an insult.

Thats a little different then a laugh on the sideline. They were whooping it up to music in that scene you are referring, too.

I guarantee none of that was going on in that locker room yesterday.

Yeah, different or an exaggeration (maybe). But at least that was in the locker room not in the dug out.

Regardless - It what came to mind when I read the report. Just telling it like it is, you can’t help what pops in there.

I feel bad for Cam. Dude shows way more hustle than players 10 years younger. I should never see a DL making a tackle 20 yards downfield l, yet I've seen that far too frequently from him.

This is real....I've been told I do it when in dangerous situations. I heard I did it in a fight, but I didn’t realize it till trying to float the Buffalo at 1am one night, and We had a bad wreck, and barely got out, and they were like....see....why are You laughing.....I didn't have an answer. Up until then I thought people were lying to me about it.

Lol I got my ass beat in a drunken stupor one night. I don’t remember really anything about it only know what my friends told me afterwards. They said he would hit me a couple times I would laugh, throw him on the ground and tell him to get back up again. Wash, rinse, and repeat. the hangover was far worse than the beating as I didn’t even have a bruise. :lolol::lolol:

I'm a 60's baby ... Steelers fan. But, through it all, I remember ... when players would take the long way to the sidelines ... after a bonehead play. When Cowher was the coach. Steelers teams (coaches and players) prior to Tomlin ... took losing, very serious.

They are because they are losing. At least show some accountability when you suck.

It's a good thing you and I survived the Titanic and Hindenburg to see the Steelers in the late 50's and 60's. JEH on the other hand survived the Pompeii disaster. :drinks:

I grew up with a single mom. The beatings from her were from "both" parents.
