That's utter nonsense

 

I've lowered my expectations for this team considerably. I wouldn't be surprised if either the Bengals or Ravens won the division. The ceiling for this team is somewhere around 9-7... floor is 6-10. That's a shame with all of the talent we have on the offensive side of the ball. As I said weeks ago after the Eagles loss... the Steelers have become the New Orleans Saints of the AFC.

 

They were unrealistically ratcheted up because they played a bunch of backup/lousy QBs down the stretch. The last two really good QBs they faced were Derek Carr and Russell Wilson, and they put up nearly 900 yards passing and 74 points on this defense.

Coupled with the fact that the Jets gifted them a playoff berth, and the Bengals gifted them a playoff win, people thought this team was closer than it was.

10-ish win team ceiling, one and done in playoffs.

They'll lose this week, win 2 straight against Baltimore and Dallas, the latter a huge national TV game at home, and then lose in Cleveland.
