PFF rankings - take it with a grain of salt of course.

PFF ranked the Steelers Defensive line number 3 this year and the Defensive backs number 5. Obviously they included our Edge players in their Defensive line rankings. Let’s hope we can live up to the expectations. I am high on the defensive line this year. Harmon and Black both have to take a step forward I believe for our Defensive line to live up these rankings as does Watt as far as recapturing some of his former Magic. I think our adb’s our a little high just because I have seen this rodeo before and we didn’t live up to expectations expectation’s plus I’m a little concerned with our safeties and I’m not as high in Ramsey as others our. He makes nervous covering a quick smallish slot guy.

 

PFF has flaws but in general it is a useful tool

Unfortunately for some posters if they find one flaw they now forever bash pff

Whatever suits their narrative

 

Try my best to not let this stuff sway me but it sure can give you hope. You can find enough clickbait to see the Steelers winning AFCN to finishing in last place. Averages give us a third place finish.

 

I take PFF ratings with as many grains of salt as I take with anything jeh1856 says.

Its easy for me. Im one that does not use it at all.
I've seen too much wrong info on it, and the guys grading , its just their opinions, not facts. Have You ever seen , and listened to the guys that do these grades??
Im not the guy that uses it for the stuff I agree with, and then down them when I don't.
I don't use them period.
IMO, and has always been my opinion PFF= Pretty F**king Fake

 

Not too many people know the detail on how those grades are generated. If they did they might change their opinions on them.
