What are they doing up there? It’s a circus. Belichick and Kraft have lost control of their team. Blah, blah....

Note, they are down a key player, Gronk.

The Pats said they are going to wait for the legal process to play out until commenting. Which means he plays this year and during the off season the charges will be quietly dropped after everyone has forgotten about it.

I don`t get the legal aspect. Wouldn`t an ordinary citizen have already been charged, arrested, then be out on bail awaiting trial?

Gronk is retired, but the Patriots are the best in the NFL at plug and play with TEs and WRs. They can take some dude off the street who plays lacrosse as his first sport... and he'll rack up 100+ yards and 2 TDs at TE.

The rules don't apply to them. He will play Week 1.

You see what happened here. He heard the rumor about Jay-Z buying into the Steelers and realized Jigger aka hova aka Jay-Z used to sling the rock so he figured if the Pats dump him the Steelers would be a nice fit.

With Belichick coaching and Brady at QB, the other 21 starters could be local high school kids and they still would be favored.

Had to be a Tony Montana sized pile of blow for the grand jury to determine a crime had been committed when they went on a service call to his house.

I'm thinking someone got pinched and ratted on him and/or they've been building a case. I know nothing about the law, indictment vs arrest, ect though.

I would think that a small amount isn't worth the DA's time to inpanel a grand jury. Has to be big enough or they are thinking of rolling him on his dealer.

The love affair some of you have with the Patriots is getting a little carried away. I mean, why don't you marry them already? If Bill or Brady every need a fluffer, I know where to direct them! Now I have to go pray we beat them, so I don't have to live another season with this drivel.

I believe, and I'm no expert, but misdemeanors generally don't use an indictment. But since this is a federal charge, they issued an indictment detailing the offense.

It sounds like nothing is going to happen as far as NFL punishment until the legal process is over. So he will be playing this year most likely.

Due process doesn't matter to Goodell. Look at Ben's suspension when there weren't even charges filed. Chung will get suspended following week 1.

The Pats have two tight ends being suspended to start the start the season, in Watson and Kendricks.
