Patrick Robinson To Visit Steelers This Weekend

I thought I saw it say Patrick Peterson when I first read it so lol yeah long day

 

I am all for bringing this guy in. At worst he could be this year's McCain (a pleasant surprise), at best he could blossom into the first round corner he was projected to be coming out of college under Lake's tutelage.

I'd also take a chance on Kyle Wilson. These guys were first rounders for a reason.

 

I guess i'm not sold on Lake, as much as others on here are..

 

If he'd be willing to sign for a lower end 1-2 year deal...as to where if they cut him they won't be out much money sure. Hell I'd trade for his old teammate and former Steeler Keenan Lewis for a 5th while I'm at it too.

 

I don't think he'll sign for a very big price. He was basically run out of town in the big easy to hear their fans talk.

 

So whats the story with him, I have not seen him play? All I know is he is a former 1st rounder right?

 

I was thinking the same thing. If we could bring back k.lewis and get Robinson going into the draft...would take us from a weak secondary to a bonefide one. We could still pick a CB but not in the first rd. And pickup Dupree in the 1st rd...who they're gonna probably pick anyway

 

Guys, I hate to disappoint you but Keenan Lewis is not going to be back in the B&G this year and probably never. He said something stupid but that doesn't mean that the Saints will be willing to trade him or release him. He's under contract and if he wants to be paid he'll play for the Saints. If an NFL team did that every time one of their players made an idiotic remark the NFL transaction wire would be going haywire!

 

yep I saw yesterday that they are looking to trade him from another source too. could change a lot of things come draft time if they go after both robinson and lewis.

It's tough to evaluate the position coaches from a fan's seat, but I didn't think much of McCain from all I heard out of his days at Houston. And now I would like to have kept him.

As for the position coaches, I'm not immune. I did not like WR coach Montgomery at all.

 

monty was too young. I mentioned that a few years ago. we have gotten a lot older and wiser on the offensive side of the ball and it's shown. WR,RB,OL. we have gotten somewhat younger on defense. DB, ILB, OLB. we are still older on the DL and they are playing pretty well. I think this definitely has an effect.

My mistake. I was actually thinking of I-Rap. Who knows. Stranger things have happened I guess.

 

2 ints last year, 9 for his career. In his physical prime at age 27. At this point we have 3 actual CBs on our roster with any experience.

This guy is not great, but we need warm bodies at this point, and let the best players rise to the top. We have to get warm bodies at CB in here.

 

Looks like his visit has been pushed back to the coming week...Steelers will still be his first visit though it seems.
