I didn't realize Watson injured earlier in the season.
For a moment, I thought he broke his own shoulder in order to avoid playing the Steelers. :beathorse:

pittsburgh is the #8 highest ranked defense in espn fantasy football. now with Cam and an improving JPJ, an improving Benton.
Playing the Cleveland offense that yields more points to fantasy defenses than all other NFL teams except six.
Pittsburgh defense is #12 in points allowed.
Pittsburgh defense is tied for #1 in takeaways. First. #1. Best.
Pittsburgh is tied for #1 also in turnover differential. Best. First.

i am being ornery, of course.

not sure i love it, on the road. but maybe a good fantasy play. so, 8th ranked, in fantasy - most leagues are what, 10 or 12 teams, so there are 60-70% other better options, it appears.....

we are a FAR CRY from where I thought we'd be on D this year, at Top 10 and maybe a Top 5.

    oh well......

how is it that they said were are ranked #31 during the broadcast on Sunday, was that accurate then?

Last game Dorian-Thompson-Robinson-Jinglheimer-Schmidt started he threw 3 picks. If we stop the run, mistakes will happen in the passing game.

While this surely improves the Steelers chances it doesn’t make Sunday an automatic W by any means as others have said. Watson wasn’t playing well anyway. You’d hope the Steelers can force a few takeaways agains Walker however.

Browns will stack the box and try to stuff the Steelers improved run game, can Kenny make enough plays to get scores on the board?

A defensive or ST score may be needed.

The Steelers are 18-2 against opposing rookie starting quarterbacks since 2004, the best winning percentage of any team in that time.

Didn't we lose to Zach Wilson too? I don't remember his stats but my mind is telling me he had a good day too.

why don't we go back to 1996?

    come on man......MODERN HISTORY please

    these are dumb stats.

we lost to some lousy QB's the past few years, as this thread has outlined. almost lost to that hack vs TN 2 weeks ago.

Stats are stats and if you dont like them feel free to scroll on. Steelers have a fantastic record beating rookie QBs. Is all I was saying.

Saw the thread and my confidence soared but then remembered how that has worked out in the past.

Sure is not breaking my heart but Browns could have been trouble with Chubb and Watson and that D.

a couple of things that have likely already been said-

1- Is the Watson deal- potentially if not already- the worse move in Browns history (of many)?
2- Yes, honestly whomever they put out there Sunday is probably going to be at least replacement level for what Watson was doing.

and 3-which I don't think has been said-

    - any prediction on to who is starting at Qb for the Browns a year from now?

    Mac Jones?

Going back to 1996 sounds like a really great idea on the subject because right around that time the league really evolved into a pass happy era. It would be very telling how this team has done against rookie QB’s in that time frame. Of coarse we could get more skewered results if we went your route of what have you done for us lately? Say 2020 maybe?
