Over or Under 2 Blitzes this week against Vegas?

I keep hearing that the Steelers only Blitzed 2 plays against Buffalo last week......

But in a 3-4 don't you blitz at least 1 LB every play?

Great game plan against Allen to keep your DBs and ILBs back in coverage, especially when your "front 4" are able to bring so much pressure. Also, without Mike Hilton there is no reason to bring your Slot Corner on a blitz only to watch as your LB drops back into coverage to cover a WR.

Curious to see what the plan will be against Carr, as I believe half the reason we didn't Blitz more had to do with Allen's ability to run the ball.

Derek Carr can be more easier to take down than Josh Allen. Allen is by far stronger and more powerful of a runner than Carr ever hopes to be. Add the fact that getting the ball to Waller will likely be of the upmost importance and, while not always getting home will be a bit annoying, a turnover or two will not be; doubly so if it is a pick 6.

 

I can see a Carr turnover coming.

 

Agree, present terminology seems to be at least 5 to be a blitz. It gets interesting if they don’t guess the correct other two besides the front three.
