Of course now it's apples to oranges, but back then it was Cowher can't do this like Noll could, and Cowher can't do that like Noll could, and now as time progresses, it's Tomlin can't do this like Cowher could, and Tomlin doesn't do this like Cowher did, and I guarantee you, if I live long enough, I will read and (insert future HC) doesn't do this like Tomlin, and (future HC) can't do that like Tomlin. The difference is I remember this stuff. No matter what anyone says...as many people that want Tomlin gone now, there was the same amount that wanted Cowher gone.

So because he had a coaching tree , there wasn't a $hit ton of people calling for his head back in the day, and if the Steelers would had listened to those so called smart guys, Cowher would have never won a SB??? Is that what You are saying?
Arians that guy that won a SB, is from Tomlin’s coaching tree, and before anyone says he was someone else's, remember who made him a OC, and that most coaches that are presumed from a certain coaching tree , started elsewhere 1st.

 

No you keep talking about firing him, and I have asked you at least a dozen times to name one team in the NFL that has fired a HC that has been to two SB, and never had a losing season, but because answer, because no team has before, not any I can find in the History of the NFL.

For all things holy my friend please don’t bring up non losing seasons. Tomlin was awesome first 5 years, last 13 seasons avg at best
Also, I am like you, I will support whoever coaches the Steelers! But, honestly, if we do the same thing this season with same results, I will personally hold the door open so it doesn’t hit Mikey in the ass when he leaves.

Ben had lost alot of his mobility by 2020. By 2021 his accuracy was looking off too. People were debating if this was a timing/Canada issue or just Ben and his loss of accuracy.

as far as having a young Qb at the right time - i think the transition was happening in 2020-2021 anyway with retirement/loss of Pouncey, DD, and AV. The D was in its prime with TJ, Minkah and Cam. A young Qb couldve grown with a rebuilt line. Of course it didnt help having Canada.

So we missed taking advantage of the defenses prime, theyre still good and I think the O is ready for a young Qb in 26.

 

And no coach on the sidelines that could keep the Patriots QB, WRs and coaches from laughing hysterically at our copy/paste defensive schemes. Patriots loved playing Tomlin, they knew it was going to be a easy stroll through 4 quarters.

I feel bad for the Steelers players, having an inept HC leading them off the cliff every year. It's like Homer Simpson clones chasing donuts off the cliff, except Tomlin is the donut, puffy and full of hot air and mentally on-par with a donut.

 

Patriots made lots of good teams look bad during their dynasty but they absolutely loved playing the Steelers and Mike T. He would never change a damn thing even when it was clear year after year it wouldn’t come close to working. His stubborn nature is what caused his downfall. If he would have adapted and hired some decent coaches to help him maybe things would be different.
