unfortunately this team doesn't know how to draft people anymore either. We're doomed either way!

I agree you only deserve to be in the playoffs if you're one of the six seeds, so if the Steelers are not one of the six at the the end of the season then they don't deserve to be in.

No matter how much some of you want him gone, Mike Tomlin isn't going anywhere at the end of this season. Not happening. He is 100% safe.

Now, the coordinators are a different story. I think the turn around in the offense over the second half of the season could buy Haley another year. I think management and Tomlin can see some growth there.

I think the harder decision is Lebeau. Whether its scheme or personnel, this defense is broken and we are being exploited nearly every week.

Here's hoping that Lebeau will take the high road and ride off into the sunset on his own terms, and not be "forced into retirement".

lebeau isn't the guy missing the tackles. we had this problem early in the season and now it's back. if you miss tackles in the 4-3 or the 3-4 your going to get the same results. Thank God for cam heyward today. add worilds of guys that have played their butts off this year. that's two guys that I can say played well this season on defense. that's it, I can't think of anyone else that I can say that about this year on defense.

they need to take the clause out of ben's contract with haley. you know the one that says, I will behave and make everything look smiley, if I get to throw deep every 6 passes. this drives me nuts that we are driving the field and get to 3rd and short and waste a play going deep, then punt. it goes on every game.:cool:

I don't think you can say Tomlin is safe just yet. If this team goes on to lose these last 3 games and gets blown out in all 3, he should have his bags packed and ready to go. And we all know it's entirely possible they go down in flames. Something is not right with the chemisrty of this team. 5 wins in the last 13 games? Good god who would have guessed it?

is not only wins and losses , is what he is doing , draft , sideline job , discipline and decision on the roster . if i'm the rooney i would call a player like hoke or a.smith that i 'm sure they are in contact with the team and doesn't have a precedents vs tomlin , and ask them what do you think is worth this guy . then i would have more clear idea . the sideline step in baltimore could be a bigger deal than we think , he could be a fraud discovering , i wonder if the rooney has a clear picture on tomlin or not .

I agree with what you're saying about Lebeau but if you don't have the players to run your system you either change your system or draft players that can run it. Plus, we don't have 4 years for new players to learn Lebeau's system. Look at how many players we use to sit because it takes them at least two years possibly 3 before they learn the system. And when they get it they are out the door because we can't resign them. For example, Worilds and Hood. Worilds is as good as gone. And I don't blame him. Hood might catch on better with another contract but who's going to take that risk? That's why we are having so many communication break downs. You have two rookies and a new NT in the starting lineup. When was the last time you seen this on a steelers defense?

Lebeau needs a condense version of his defense or we will get torched year after year.

Yeah the shots down field and ESPECIALLY in THESE conditions are getting really ridiculous. Bell was running well enough that those plays could have been about the same percentage off on play action on 1st down. It was irritating me as well.

we have other priority velasco and worilds
we will draft a bigger receiver to pair with brown , and maybe a slippery rb that we could use as a receiver too .

I've got this nagging feeling that he'll want to stick around, and the Rooneys will let him.

I will actually be surprised if we bring back Worilds. I think he has played fine but maybe a little TOO fine for what we can afford. Also I'm not sure he has that high of a ceiling anyway. We need truly GREAT and not just solid right now. I actually like Worilds but I'd just say they're planning to let him walk.

I bet they will let Haley too. BUT does Butler stick around and what if Butler says that either they make him the dc or he takes one of the inevitable offers he might get in the offseason? Although with the way we've played he might be hurting his stock if you think about it.

Butler's stock hasn't risen this year, nor has the stock of any of the other Steeler coaches. It's just time for LeBeau to move on. Our defense can't stop a tropical weather team in the snow!

When Troy and Cortez missed that tackle after both having their hands on the guy I seriously almost came unglued. Then AB stepped out of bounds and I DID come unglued! That is maybe the most mad I've EVER been. I mean like in my 31 years of life on this earth. I have never screamed that loud at a tv in my life.

Do you have some inside scoop?

Maybe CT will be escorted out within one of the next couple loses here in reg. it's not too early ask Kubiak. Steelers fired Austin after only 3 yrs. not sure what his record was without looking it up. So yes the organization fires coaches i believe i read once a total of 16 since the franchise. The longest run without a burb is Knoll to the present.

why tomlin? it amazes me that people cant see that this team is old. no coach can make players faster or make them tackle. these are nfl players who get paid very well. they have to take pride in their own game and play hard all the time. father time has caught a few. ike and troy to name just two. I really don't think this team is far from being back to an elite level. we have some very good talent and young talent at that. plug some big holes and get alittle lucky with injuries and we are back with tomlin as coach

I'm not so sure. Noll and Cowher worked for Dan Rooney. Based on things like the Arians 'retirement' Art II seems more of a modern day owner type. We'll see.
