Can you imagine what it's going to be like if SDOT actually has something real to complain about?

And yeah, Steelers' football can't get here fast enough.

Is it a surprise that players are getting their butts back to team training facilities with Teams now cutting players for getting injured in outside gyms.

Broncos have already had 2 players that are now going to lose millions by geting injured following the NFLPA advise to stay away from team facilities.

You can bet when some older veteran players do return they will be going through a complete physical to see if there is anyway a team can drop them and their fat contract like a bad habit.

The NFL sent a memo to all teams last week stating that they are not required to pay players hurt while while working out away from the team facility, even while doing football training.

I thought the Steelers were boycotting OTA's?

If team leader and established vet Cam Heyward had his way, they would be, but I assume the guys fighting for jobs who don't have tens of millions in the bank feel otherwise.

does anyone know anything about the recovery of our players that had covid last year? are there any long term affects from it? lung scarring? could make a huge difference in their play if so.

in another note finney went through this last year. the part of not training at remote gyms and then couldn't get a physical at the team facilities. it hurt his status. we shall see how smooth all this goes going forward.

Given the limitations placed on what teams can and can not do in OTA's after the most recent CBA the biggest benefit of OTA's is team building and strengthening the bonds between players. The rookies and guys new to the team get a chance to be immersed in what will be the routine going forward. So for veterans the risk/reward is high risk to low reward and Cam was vocal about that. Basically it would be better time spent to have the whole team meet up at Cam's or Ben's houses for a BBQ and just hang out.

Where does the playbook fit into this?

Definitely not at Ben’s house ;)

That was the NFLPA advising the players to skip OTAs.

Jeh I might be wrong but I think the playbook is a restriction in the CBA as well. It's strange that they have progressed to the point that it is almost a year round program but the negotiate away anything that would actually benefit the players in those offseason OTA's

I'll have to go look I may be thinking about 11 vs 11 drills. I know OTA's are extremely limited in what can be done which makes them seem almost worthless

Eagles and Colts cancel June Mini Camps; what will the Steelers do?

I hope this doesn't get cancelled because I am curious to see what kind of shape Ben come's in at. Or, if he will even show up!

Also, be curious to see if this turns out to give the Teams that are having their players participate in offseason activities an advantage over teams that are basically taking the summer off.

As I was saying the biggest thing appears to be team building and giving younger players a solid learning foundation. Have a BBQ at Ben's big house in the burbs, throws some old guys in the pool fully clothed and then dump McDonald's orange drink all over Tomlin and we ready to ride
