Some have him, some have Jr., some have Witherspoon, some have Ringo. The one's with the last one haven't updated their draft boards since August.

Porter Jr. has the size, but he also only has one career interception, and he grabs the receivers a lot in coverage.

I've watched Him the least of all the CBs. So I don't know a bunch about him

The 1 interception concerns me also. We need playmakers at the CB position.

Witherspoon looks the most like your typical Steelers CB. Tough, physical.....etc

Not sure what you mean? Are you saying Witherspoon cant cover, or Steelers Db's cant cover?

Can't say I don't love the guy. Is he a slot guy though? Not that slot guys aren't important but they can be had later.

Dude is a baller though. He passes the eyeball test.

There's no Sauce Gardner type of prospect this year. There's things I like about all of them though. If we sign Cam Sutton back, cb is not as big of a need at pick 17, jmo.

He certainly has the size to matchup with WRs like Chase and Higgins, I'm not sure of his speed though.

They need a stud CB from the draft to eventually be their #1 CB, then if they re-sign Sutton he could be #2, Wallace is more suited to be a #3.

To me Dline and even ILB are the bigger needs, IF we resign Sutton.
    .
At ILB we are losing Bush and likely Spillane. That leaves us with Mark Robinson, who is pretty unproven, and Myles Jack who didnt look too great.

At DL we are probably losing Larry Ogonjobi, Alualu is gonna retire, and Wormley is probably gone too. That will leave us with Heyward, Loudermilk and DeMarvin Leal. That's worrisome to me.

He is my CB #2 of the entire draft. Truly has everything one would ever want in a Corner with the playmaking skills that can be sharpened. Good in run support too!

Just wish he were a bit more aggressive overall. Beyond that though, definitely worth consideration. Biggest question is... will Andy Weidl break the streak?! Mind you the last time Pittsburgh selected someone from the PAC 12 in Round One was over a decade ago; David DeCastro. Regarding Defensive Players..?!...

.. the man in my avatar. To me though, Christian Gonzalez is a Corner worth taking the chance on.

As much as I like O'Cyrus, I like Christian Gonzlaez that much more. I like his ability to play man and zone. The thing for me is, no matter how much we fans want to see a CB drafted early and how much the analysts will say CB is a need for the Steelers, I just don't see the Steelers going in this direction. They gave up 222 passing yards a game, led the league in INT's and top 5 in pass deflections. I really think that Tomlin and Austin is really comfortable with this unit as a collective. LB Trenton Simpson (Clemson) or WR Jordan Addison (USC) has a better shot at being drafted at 17 than CB. Alot matters if we can re-sign Cam Sutton and Edmunds or not, but I tend to think that they will, and fairly soon. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they kicked the CB can until the 24 draft.

I've been preaching CB for I think :hmm: this will be the 3rd, or 4th draft, and haven't got one yet....So....You are probably correct, but it doesn't mean We shouldn't be drafting one high.

They might release Jackson and Witherspoon, and Sutton could leave in free agency, they need to draft a CB in 2023 this draft is deep at the position.

Who is your #1 CB in the draft? FWIW Daniel Jeremiah had Devon Witherspoon as his #1 CB.

God forbid we lose William Jackson and Witherspoon next year! They were such valuable contributors! How do we recover from that??

I don't care about those guys, but they need to be replaced for depth, you act like them re-signing Sutton and then they're set at CB .

JMO..., but I believe CB should be taken early. We have a chance of losing a lot in the DB room...., and we've done that for the last couple of years.
