Seattle looks like a team suffering from Super Bowl hangover.

 

I mean... missing Sam Darnold doesn't help.


That said, missing Klint Kubiak might hurt more.

 

QBs be scrambling around like they haven't taken a hit since last year

Missing Nick Emmanwori. Reminds me a bit of the Steelers missing Troy though not nearly as bad for Seattle.

 

Mike MacDonald playing not to lose. That said, only so much of that one can do. Gonna have to let Drew rip it a bit.

Might wanna call it a bit early tonight. Drew Lock clearly isn't going to win it here.

 

So essentially, the Seahawks Defense needs to win this. If not them, they are not winning this. Only way is if Drew Lock has the game of his career.

 

I'll take Mason Rudolph over Drew Lock any day of the week

 

I would take Lock he is more mobile than Rudolph and they are probably about the same as passers.

 

Watching Tomlin on NBC reminds me of Hines Ward's brief stint on NBC.

Kind of tough seeing Tomlin look so unnatural

More mobile for sure. I'll take Rudolph's poise and decision making over Lock's any day. Rudolph's picks come from errant throws, not poor decisions.

 

Yet another reason why the vernacular "Never take anything for granted" is often used; in the NFL or otherwise. Could always be worse. Mason may not be the best backup in the NFL but he is surely far from the worst.


Another aspect to keep in mind; Jalen Milroe is the emergency QB. Tells me everything I need to know about what the likes of Mike MacDonald and the rest think of him.

 

They need to run the rookie RB Price more. He really looks good tonight. They need to win the Tomlin way. Run the ball to shorten the game, don't turn it over, put pressure on Drake Maye and make him make a critical mistake.

 

Lock has the better mobility but Rudolph possesses the superior release speed, processing and decision making.


Give me Mason over Drew.

 

That can also work. Seattle does have the Offensive Line to do so. Just a matter of the Passing Game doing enough to have Jadarian actually grind out that clock.

 

I was thinking about Milroe. It will be interesting to see if MacDonald makes that call.

 

If Milroe has to play they won't dare let him throw the ball. Either hand off to Price or take off and run.

An Emergency Third Quarterback is permitted to enter a game only if the club's two active quarterbacks are unable to play either by disqualification or injury, including for example, if QB1 is unable to play and QB2 is being evaluated for an injury.


I don't wish injury on any player; no matter who they are. Mike would be breaking the rules if he did make that call.

 

MacDonald doesn't strike me as a rule bender.
