That was actually a time I didn't understand what Tomlin was doing. Something was going on behind the scenes on that.
No Harrison couldn't play 60 mins anymore, but He could have helped numerous times that year.

It's funny, I remember J Harrison , Woodley, TJ Watt, Wallace, AB, Dupree, Timmons, Brent K, L Bell, and Heyward, just to name a few developing here, and a few that came from other teams that looked better here, like the loud mouth safety on ESPN, and others that looked good here, but not after they left, like AB, L Bell, J Harrison, Woodley ,and Dupree just to name a few......yet we can't develop players. LoL
Some of the times I believe people just like to say things.

Moats did play some ILB due to injuries, they had Dupree and Watt to start in 2017. Maybe Harrison lost playing time due to him being unprofessional like falling asleep in meetings .

Recently its been a train wreck. Tell me who has been developed lately? Also, players leave at a higher rate than ever before in Pittsburgh.
Dude, we will agree to disagree. Time for a regime change.
Nice example of Woodley, he still trying to catch Jamarcus Russell. Don’t think Tomlin developed Harrison either

Look at the list of knuckleheads you listed
    AB
    Bell
    Wallace
He couldn’t mess up TJ, thank God. Not only the loudmouth from espn disses coach T, a lot of former Steelers also do.

Not saying the sky is falling, just saying that there is a reason we keep using retreads. Not just me my friend, its all over the sports media world.
They scratch their heads about how the Steelers doing the same thing yr after yr. They also believe Tomlin is just happy to make WC and get blown out year after year.
You look at it as everyone thinks sky is falling. Others look at we have a continuous problem. Each to his own, that’s what makes the world go around

You of all people who likes to say things. Stats don’t matter, that is your all time greatest. Followed by it doesn’t matter if you don’t win a playoff game. Hilarious
Yes the goal is to win Superbowl, but yet you need to win a playoff game first

So if they are great , they can't be messed up, if they do terrible when they leave , they are knuckle heads, and if they don't do good, it's because they are poorly coached???
LoL. Come on My Friend, does that even make any sense reading that back???

Oh it's all over the sports media world.....Example....You mean like the ......Lamar Jackson will win the SB this year, that has been said for the last 5 years, or the Steelers will finish last in their division this year, like has been said for what, the last 4 years.....you mean like that. How's about think for yourself.
You do know they just say stuff to be controversial so people will watch. It's like a Jerry springer show, but for sports.

Well first, Najee isn't getting 1,500 with Omarion Hampton ready and able to go.

Second, we all get frustrated when a young talent doesn't make it. But you need to juxtapose this organization's failure rate against the rest of the league before saying they just can't develop anybody. The last few drafts pre-Khan were pretty poor. Saying not many came out of that isn't really saying much about their developmental abilities.

I agree with what you say.

But I do think that there is a problem at QB. I am not football smart enough or connected enough to know what the real problem is. If you go back to when Ben was last good (probably 2018), that means that for 6 years, going on 7 we have not done well at QB development. You could even add on a few years as we should have been working on Ben's replacement before it was a crisis. It could be due to poor draft / trade choices, poor talent pool, being cheap, or bad coaching. Just as starters (not counting backups), we have seen Rudolph, Hodges, Pickett, Trubisky, Fields and Wilson. We have drafted Dobbs (2017), Rudolph (2018), Oladokun (2022), Pickett (2022), and Howard (2025). We have been getting QBs that were moved on from other teams and guys who have been best at being a backup.

Maybe it has just been bad luck. But at the end of the day, the QB is one position where we have failed to do more than tread water.....IMO
