Any chance Ben takes a cut to free up some coin for Brown? Seems like it'd work to his favor ...

We will never know will we? All we know is Tomlins way has resulted in two playoff losses in two years.

Bringing in a veteran RB isn't going to eliminate the chance of a fumble.

Tomlins way also got us the win last week or are you going to deflect that as some sort of luck or winning in spite of him?

Don't waste your time. This is the same guy who argued that Belichick threw the Jets game on purpose to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs.

Just don't ban him because then he'll become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Make sure you quote me if Steven Jackson blows the game for the Patriots this weekend.

A lot had to go right. Hill fumbling the game away and two stupid penalties on the Bengals. I'm glad they at least won that game but this game was winnable. I'm not down for just glossing over this loss and being optimistic because then nothing will change next year. And we will lose our 3rd straight playoff game in a row because of a back-up running back.

Tell me you're not under the illusion that anything you complain about has any bearing on what the Steelers do?

Me personally? No. But I'd like to think us as a fan base and consumers have some say.

Yeah I would let Bryant go 6 days a week and twice on Sunday before I would let AB escape. I also think it's needful to do whatever it takes to keep Bell as well because he will still have quite a bit left in his career by the time Ben might have to call it quits. Having a guy like Bell would be a GREAT tool for a new qb the same way the Bus was for Ben. Bell is just very valuable going forward. Him and AB and Ben are the nucleus of this team. One area I would love to see addressed in either the draft or free agency is a punter that is just semi competent.

My biggest question is what do they do with Cortez? They can't possibly keep him, can they?

It's a possibility. I think they'll probably wait and see how free agency/possibly the draft pans out before cutting him loose, if they decide that's what they want to do. Gun to my head I'd guess they do keep him.

I don't think they save any money cutting him before camp. You might as well bring him in and see if he does a 180.

Seems like might have been hurt this year? Didn't he have knee surgery? Doesn't hurt to take one more look at him.

I didn't write the story, just quote the source. What I do know is 2 sources who get paid to write about it think they'll have some problems. Last time I checked, no one on here gets paid. Doesn't mean the quoted sources are correct.

One interesting point about the ESPN story is part of the reason they're having such trouble in the back end is because they have some money tied up that isn't allowing them to adequately address their issues. So maybe the trouble isn't getting bodies, it's getting bodies other than guys like A. Blake?
