More ILB tryouts, talk about working Herbig out at ILB, and Austin saying Robinson will not be ready for a starting job until 2024 means the Steelers are currently not happy with what they have on their roster at ILB.

Maybe Kahn can work something out with the Cards to bring in Isiah Simmons before camp.

The Cardinals are working him in the secondary. He spent a lot of time in the secondary last year. What makes you think he'd make a good inside linebacker?

It means they think they can improve their short-term depth at the position. That isn't the same thing.

This is why I think he will be a bargain to the Steelers. The Cardinals run a 4-3 and Isiah Simmons has no business being a big MLB and moving to the outside was no better for him in Arizona; he is best suited as a cover 3-4 ILB, something the Steelers desperately need. The Cardinals declined his 5th year option and this year are moving him to SS as a backup plan until they release him at the end of the year.

I think he would be everything we hoped Bush would be in the 3-4 Defense.

At the NFL Combine Isiah Simmons was 6'4 238lbs and ran a 4.39

It will cost the Steelers a little extra in Draft Capital because of his GTD contract that the Cardinals would have to eat if they trade him; I think he would be on his new teams roster for only about $1 million Salary.

I like the signing of Kwiatkoski for ILB depth. He's back home after playing HS ball at Bethel Park and college ball in Morgantown.

I liked him. But I'm shocked he didn't do better.

It scares me to think what they are trying to do to a 240lb ILB like Isaiah Simmons, probably using word like "Quick" and "Trim" trying to get him to come in under 220lbs so he can play DB for them his last year on the team. If the Steelers want this guy they need to move quick, before the Cardinals screw him up. LOL... I wonder what Devin Bush would have looked like as a Safety?

Man coming out of college Isaiah Simmons looked like a can't miss ILB for a 3-4 team; just like Devin Bush did. #8 pick vs #10 pick, who is the Bigger Bust for their team?

foot injury and surgery. switch from safety to LB. he's a good player and he will get a chance here to settle in. curry was his LB coach in seattle, so he knows what he can do. i think he ends up with a similar role as keanu neal for the steelers. neal more safety, muse more LB. the kid is just a good football player. special teams will benefit as well.

i don't know but we always have a backup plan just incase we have an injury at the position. we have had to do this before during the season. ratkofsky came in and got a ring with us one year.

He did seem to have some snaps that were off target last season, though not so bad that they got away. Maybe he was disrupting the timing, which is tougher to spot. Maybe they are looking at everything after Boswell's rough 2022 season.

You have to wonder if Miller got bumped out of town by the XFL's Hakeen Butler.

Do the Steelers think they have something in Butler after OTAs and Mini Camp??

miller had too many injuries. they had plans for him last year and then he got hurt and sims stepped in. now we have austin and butler, so he was dropping on the depth chart. i wish him luck.
