I wouldn't call him homer on that one... I mean what the hell was McFarland actually doing? Vander Esch was making a pretty textbook tackle and following the momentum through to the ground and McFarland was just constantly putting opposing force into Vander Esch's facemask through the end of the tackle and then after the play was over. You could see Vander Esch finally realized it wasn't involuntary or just how they happened to be tangled up and snapped his attention to McFarland kind of like "WTF you doing man" and McFarland just kept doing it for whatever reason and Vander Esch lost his cool.

I mean if he was intentionally trying to irritate him then maybe it makes sense for McFarland but I think we just kind of got lucky there... after getting extremely lucky on that cancelled interception. Was hard to tell clearly in the replay but if I'm being honest it appeared Claypool was making his first flop attempt!
