    Starks-Legursky-Pouncey-Colon-Gilbert

Of course, I'm not sure all these guys will be back, and I'm not sure if the draft will introduce more options.

But I'd be interested to see how this line up would work. Could Colon be successful at guard?

I hope you are wrong. Rookie-rookie-pouncey-colon-gilbert. Starks will be 400+ with his surgery and we need upgrades bad

We need a top guard. We can get by with our tackles, but we absolutely need to address the guard situation. I would love to get Decastro, but he will be gone top 15 for sure

Because of where we are with Free Agents, I think we will see the Steelers finally step into the FA world for some guards. Meredith won't be back. It is doubtful that Starks or J. Scott will be back. Essex is a UFA. Foster is a RFA. Colon will be coming off an injury. Kemo probably gets cut. So what do we have coming back?

Gilbert, Foster (probably), Pouncey, Colon, Legursky.....That leaves 4 spots for guys currently on the practice squad, picks, and UFAs, including some starting spots.

A lot of people are saying we need tackles, but IMO we need two guards....

Ben can elude the pass rush from the outside, he can't do anything about guys rushing up in his face.

I say....gilbert-FA-pouncey-draft pick-colon...I doubt Starks will be back. Kemo should of been gone and Jonthan Scott should of been fired mid-season. We need to replemish the offensive line with new blood.

I like this. Would even consider two rookies at the G positions. This all hinges on how effective Colon can be after two years out with injuries. We keep Legursky for top interior backup, and possibly J. Scott for the top tackle. I'm sure we'll bring back Foster, too.

Look I know its not an ideal situation, but It cant get worse than what we are looking at. To me starks is not an option. acl surgery is no joke for the average athlete and starks is tipping the scales at 370 now. Look at last of season. He will more than likely be in the same shape. Kemo is gone I hope. Scott has had his chance. he is a good backup but not a starter. there is not a player on this roster I trust to play left tackle. draft a stud in the first round who can come in with a regular training camp and start. other teams do it why cant we. pouncey started as a rookie and center is just as hard a position. I will admit we can plug someone in a guard and get by, but that is just hoping on my part. this year we HAVE to address the o-line. I am not a fan of over paying for someone else's reject so I have free agentin the first wave. they always get overpaid. the second wave of free agents is what we have now so we are no better off

I do not have high hopes on Willie Colon. He is too injury prone. He has been out for the last two seasons with season ending injuries. They need to move on. Starks also falls into that same category, he has been injury prone. I think the Steelers should address this in the upcoming draft, get two studs who are capable of starting. This is what it should look like:

Rookie Stud, Legs, Pouncey, Rookie Stud, Gilbert

and lets run with it before Ben is no longer an elite QB

It starts with getting rid of Bruce Arians and drafting two stud lineman in the 1st and 2nd rounds!

Everyone wants a "rookie stud" at left tackle and guard to start immediately. I don't follow players coming out at these positions so, who will be available at the 24 pick to be that "rookie stud" or left tackle?

I don't think the steelers are going to move up to get the really good offensive lineman, but according to Steelers Depot they could be getting two compensatory picks in the 7 round.

Also, with the 24th overall pick would you take a offensive linemen when the better value could be at NT and ILB?

I think they will get a very good olinemen in the 2nd round or third round and fill the other positions with the 1st or 2nd round pick.

Get Kemoeatu and Scott as far away from it as possible. Sign a starting-level G in FA and draft another. Most of our OL issues come from pressure up the middle and a lack of running lanes in the middle. That's a G problem.

this is actually a good year for us. we are picking 24th in a top heavy year for guards. could be 3 or 4 in 1st round. nt is deep from what i see. good players will be there in the 3rd. like chapman from alabama
