This is a big board comprised of only Steeler positions of need IMO.. I value some positions/players much higher than other's and have dropped some players because of my personal preference. I have limited my personal big board to 15 as the Steelers select #15. There are no QB's for an obvious reason..#7
    With that said, here goes...

    1. Jadeveon Clowney OLB S. Carolina

The best prospect in the draft.

    2. Jake Matthews T TAMU

IMO the best T prospect in the last 2 years.

    3. Sammy Watkins WR Clemson

    Explosive play maker.

    4. Eric Ebron TE UNC

    A match-up nightmare for opposing D's

    5. Khalil Mack OLB Buffalo

Exciting pass-rusher that makes splash plays

    6. Mike Evans WR TAMU

    Big productive play-maker

    7. Justin Gilbert CB OK St

Before it's done will be consensus #1 CB

    8. Anthony Barr OLB UCLA

    Pass-rush extraordinare

    9. Taylor Lewan T Michigan

2nd best T in the draft IMO

    10. HaHa Clinton-Dix FS Bama

    Better prospect than Kenny Vaccaro

    11. Greg Robinson T Auburn

Big mauler in the run game

    12. Marquise Lee WR USC

Big play threat on the outside

    13. JC Amaro TE TTU

    Productive with great hands

    14. David Yankey OL Stanford

Can play 4 positions on the OL IMO

    15. Cyrus Kouandjio T Bama

Raw but talented and chiseled for a T

There you have it.. Be kind :lolol:

Nice Steeler spin on this Board.

Lewan over Robinson is interesting. So is Mack over Barr. Are these strictly based on Steeler needs, or would you rank them ahead regardless of team needs?

I think he has them as BPA and only ranking Steeler needs. That being said to me Mack & Barr are interchangeable. Both will be real solid. Agree with Lewan over Robinson as right now I have Robinson slightly ahead of Mathews by an inch.

FS is a need and Dix is best FS in the draft right now but not sure he's better than Kenny V.

I like focusing big boards that are on the Steeler radar which is why I did a round by round big board target.

    I like it.

It's strictly based on what I think we need. I think Lewan could be a good LT in pass pro, while Robinson to me is a lot like what we've had in the past - big road graders.

Mack to me is a better fit for us and what we do. Barr will be a good one though IMO..

Clowney won't play OLB in the NFL he's a 4/3 DE.

trust me. clowney can play olb. he will run around a 4.5. they dropped him in coverage a lot this year cause he was getting doubled every play. he aint great at it but is a good athlete and will learn. I don't care what you run. you find a place for a guy like this

You did a pretty good job. I think you over-rated Ebron and Evans into the top 6, although I do think both guys are still top 15 prospects or very closely on the outside. I also think you over-rated Yankey and Amaro as well. They both seem like late 1st early second guys to me... but that's just my opinion :smiley1:

I like Mack ahead of Barr tho since he is more polished coming out of school as an all around OLB. Barr's athleticism will probably have him drafted ahead of Mack though. I like Zack Martin better than either of Lewan or Koandijo too. Snubs could include Mosely, Ealy and Dennard. I'll be in the minority here, but I think Manziel is a snub too. I think he will surprise a lot of people who think he is just hype.

I understand but this big board is solely for the Steelers needs... I explained that QB's were left off of the list intentionally cuz we have Ben..

He probably could play either position, but I think it would be a bad choice for a 3-4 team to select him. You have to let this guy rush the passer every single play. I agree that I think he should be solely a 4-3 DE.

    That may be..

I think he'd be a beast at LOLB for us and way more athletic than Woodley..

I have a sneaky suspicion that he ways in around 255-260.. I could be wrong though.

Yeah he's listed from high 260' to mid 270's depending on where you look. He just doesn't look that big to me. Like I said though, I could be way off..

How do you know he can play OLB just because he's a freak athletically teams that will draft him in the top 5 will draft him to play DE not OLB.

I like it #58, IF Ha Ha becomes
    a better player than Vaccarro,
then I am all over this pick. He just doesn't
excite me though. And I am a Nick Saban fan.
Just for the record Vaccarro was my Steeler selection last year. It didn't quite work out. LOL

It doesn't really matter where he plays,he's gonna be a force. Just get him on the field and as long as his mental make-up his half as good as his physical skill,he will have to be accounted for.

Physically I think he can play 3-4 OLB. I'm just saying it would be a waste to put him in that position. Clowney needs to be attacking the QB EVERY play. Dropping him into coverage is just a waste of his talents.
