just saw this on NFL homepage. Sound like nice late round picks for us. None of these guys were picked for the combine, but did well in pro days.

Nick Mondek, OG, Purdue (6-6, 304): Mondek switched from defensive tackle to offensive line just two years ago and is still learning how to use his hands and play with leverage up front. However, his low 4.8's in the 40, 30 bench reps and exceptional shuttle times could entice NFL offensive line coaches to feel he's a project worth taking on.

Marcus Dowtin, ILB, North Alabama (6-2, 230): It was thought Dowtin would fill in for Akeem Dent in the middle of Georgia's defense in 2011, but he decided to transfer to North Alabama, where he led the Lions in tackles. His sub-4.6 40, 38-inch vertical and excellent shuttle times confirmed his SEC-level athleticism and might have locked up a slot in a draft lacking a lot of true 4-3 middle linebackers.

Jordan Bernstine, CB/FS, Iowa (5-10, 211): Bernstine made an impression with big hits in the secondary his first year as a starter last fall, and he turned heads with an excellent pro day: 4.45-4.48 40-yard dashes, 41-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-7 broad jump, 4.31 short shuttle, 6.98 three-cone drill and 18 bench-press reps.

We have like 4 7th round picks.

I think I'd draft Slayer with one of our 7th round picks and have them perform at every home halftime. :rawk:

I'd definitely take a look at Bernstine with that 41" vertical. Things like that don't happen on accident.

One guy's name I keep hearing is Nicolas Jean-Baptiste, NT, Baylor. I don't think he was invited to the combine, and many people are mocking him as a late round NT for their favorite teams.

I really don't know much about him, and I haven't seen him play? Sounds a bit raw, but may have some upside?

    There's a lot of NT's I like in rounds 3-5 this year including Chapman, Fangupo(sp?), Hicks, and Jean-Baptiste. Here's a write up on Jean-Baptiste...

When watching Baylor primarily for its offensive prospects, the one player on the Bears' defense who constantly stood out and made his presence felt was Jean-Baptiste. He was a force at the line of scrimmage who was capable of stuffing interior runs and collapsing the pocket with a pass rush. The Baylor defense was generally terrible, and Jean-Baptiste was the only player who was a difference-maker. He totaled 36 tackles with 8.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks and three passes broken up this year.

Jean-Baptiste (6-1, 335) was dominant at the East-West Shrine. He showed major potential to be a nose tackle in a 4-3 or 3-4 defense. Jean-Baptiste was like a bowling ball all week, rolling through offensive linemen to cause disruption in the backfield. Every lineman who went against him had problems with his bull rush.

Jean-Baptiste has natural pad level and consistently gets underneath the pads of offensive linemen to push them straight back. The need for nose tackles for a 3-4 defense should help him, but he did not work out at the Combine. Jean-Baptiste looks more like a third-day pick, but a team could consider him in the third round.
