Burfict wasn't fined for the extra-curricular activity on Ben's shoulder? Really?! Or the hit to Brown. And yes, I'm aware of the suspension. However fines and suspensions are not mutually exclusive.

I guess he's been suspended without pay.

He's losing 3 game cheques, what good would a small fine do on top of that? He wouldn't even notice the fine. Fines are capped by the CBA, so it's not like they can fine him whatever they want. Also, it might not be possible under the CBA to both suspend him without pay and fine him.

Lady Steel & Shaner82 are right. I think I read he is going to lose north of 500,000 or 700,000. Three game checks. I can't remember the number I read

I'm wondering if the 3 games holds up.

Surely they'll appeal? I think 2 games is more likely.

Anyways, like Shaner says, game cheques are far more costly.

Maybe the ultimate punishment should be to put him in a cage and travel him from city to city throughout the playoffs, SuperBowl and during his suspension games and fans can pay a dollar as they open the curtain for 5 seconds to see the animal up close and in person. Children beware! Do not attempt to feed the beast as he will become more aggressive. This can help him pay for the fines during his time away from football.

Pacman would be the carnival barker selling tickets and swearing at the children.

I think Deion "Idiot" Sanders should be fined and suspended for attempting to defend Burfict's cheap shot on AB. Sanders doesn't know what a legal hit looks like since he never tackled anybody in his entire career! Words cannot describe how much I loathe that guy at the moment.

His 3 games will likely be reduced to 2 but now that he's been punished, the next time he acts like this (and he will), the suspension gets longer and longer. The fact he wasn't suspended for the BS he's pulled all year is embarrassing for the NFL. The dude was twisting the ankle of a QB and it's clear as day he's doing it! It's been incident after incident after incident this year.

I don't know... and not that I'm drawing comparisons to them, because I think Burfict's actions are worse - but... Suh has been doing crap like this for years, and is still playing with no threat of losing his job. So likely Burfict will get what amounts to a slap on the wrist and move on with his career.
