Just saw the injury from the angle not shown on tv. Holy crap it was pretty gruesome. It’s up there with the napoleon macallum injury from 94.

It's sucks for Him. I don't mind seeing a guy knocked out of a game for a injury....it part of the game, but I hate seeing a season ending injury on anyone.

    Terrible injury. Twice now.

I’m glad the Steeler's home crowd showed such class and gave Chubb a great show of respect.

Unfortunate injury but I’m sick of hearing some opposing fans saying it was cheap. Maybe those fans should stick to soccer or flag football.

Yes unfortunate for Chubb and the Browns but the Carson Palmer rule doesn't apply to running backs or when a QB turns into one. Surprised knees aren't blown out more from tackles.

    To hell with them.

Minkah's never been dirty, has never showcased dirty behavior and never has malicious intent to harm anyone. If Browns fans and others want to label Minkah as such?!... let them... and to hell with them. In the case of Browns fans calling Steelers Players dirty... that truly is the pot calling the kettle black there! :lolol:

    Regarding Chubb.... feel for him.

Dude has been nothing but a pro since he was drafted. Best pure runner among Running Backs in the game... if not pretty damn close to it. Praying that this isn't how it ends for him.

Godspeed Mr. Chubb!! Come back stronger!!! :steelflag::steelflag::steelflag:

The reason he was such a good runner after contact was because he continues to drive his legs through those tackles up high.

I've been watching it and to me, it looks like he was preparing to plant that foot to push off and drag the tackler. At the time of the contact his leg was fully extended and planted. If his foot isn't fully flat with his leg forward like that, he likely just takes a hit that throws his leg up and back.
Instead, he's fully planted his foot doesn't slide and he takes all of that force to his knee.

Just a really unfortunate timing on the whole thing.

I feel there's probably some use for some body mechanics in the game to lessen some of the injuries these guys take. Of course, that might have some trade-offs on what these stars are able to do on Sundays.

I read one report that it would take two surgeries and Chubb would probably never play again. Hopefully it's the 6 to 8 month recovery time

I feel bad for the guy. Always been more class than Cleveland deserves. It was not a dirty hit at all. Chubb typically runs through high tackles with ease, especially those by defensive backs. What choice do they have other than to go low on him? I just hope for Nick's sake this isn't a career ending deal. I was really pleased that the Pittsburgh crowd treated what happened with the respect Chubb deserves. More than I would have expected from Cleveland fans had one of our players suffered a similar fate up there.
