This isn't specifically Steelers News, but if you have Time Warner or Brighthouse you'll appreciate it. NFL Network and TW cable have finally reached a deal. Starting this Sunday, NFL Network will be available to TWC and Brighthouse customers. We play the Titans on 10/11 which airs on NFL Network... :towel:

It does and that's why you're my hero.............

Seriously though I'm glad the NFL Network is getting more air time, its in my top three as most favorite channels.
On a side note, how's that "steeler" thing you're working on doing? Kinda curious about its name and debut!!!!

Yeah, I agree. DEFINITELY Steelers related!

I'm stuck in a corporate condo in Cleveland for the rest of football season (and away from my Directv) and have Time Warner Cable and no NFL Network. I'm curious to see how soon it's up and running so I don't have to watch the Thursday night games on my iPhone.

Well, just get DirecTV. Sign up and the Sunday Ticket is free.

I've been with DTV since 1997. I've had ST since it first started since I do not live any longer near the Pittsburgh area. This year, my discounted rate is 150 dollars which is less than 10 bucks a week to see not only the Steelers but any other game on Sunday. It is really good for the late games as you are not stuck with what the locals are broadcasting and you can also switch to another game if the one in your area is awful.

So, I doubt DTV will give up the rights to ST. They own exclusive rights for a few more years. They pay in the billions for this right, so I'm sure they are not going to let it go without a fight. Now, if it weren't FOR Sunday Ticket, I might move to another provider. DTV also carries a mix channel that has a screen broken up with all 8 games at 1:00. You can select the game you want and the audio comes on from that feed. So that channel is hot while you can watch the other 7. It's pretty cool to sit there and not have to watch halftime or any commercials.

About time. I've had Time Warner the last 3 years when we got our new house. I never missed out on a Steelers game because all of my locals are Pittsburgh. So I didn't even miss the Thursday game when they would play. But, i missed all the other NFL games on Thursday and never got to see NFL replay or any other awesome NFL network stuff.

Screw NFL network and cable companies..... I have had NFL network twice on Comcast and they took it away from me twice both times because they put it in a more expensive sports package you have to pay more money for.

So basically I do not get to see any Thursday night game this year or ever until I decide to overpay for cable service.

I'd like to know the ratings on these Thursday night games, first off because I think they are over doing them this year, second NFL network is not readily available to everyone.

I'm okay with capitalism as long as it doesn't get out of hand. It's Directv's monolopy on the NFL package that should be more concerning than laying out five bucks a month (seems reasonable to me) to get four NFL games and 24/7 coverage of the NFL. For me, the value is there and the price makes sense. I have no problem investing in that package.
