At least that call wasn't something that cost us a victory. I was glad to see ( at the bottom of the link ) the DL that leg whipped BB was fined 8K.

Watching that pisses me off all over again. It's one thing to get a call wrong on a hit with how fast they happen but something like that is just inexcusable. Stuff like that makes you wonder about some of these refs integrity.

With all the fines the NFL hands out to players, it's only fair that the ref get fined for such a blatantly wrong call.

I hope they FINE the ref that made the call!!! Until they start hitting these nearsighted zebras in the pocketbook it's not going to make a difference!!!

I'm not letting the league off that easy on the BS call. It gave them a new set of downs and led to a Field goal which made the game closer than it should have ben. Nothing more than shaving points for Vegas and possibly costing us a game. For what? Gay taunting his own player??\

They should take that leg whip fine and donate the money to a charity of Gays choosing for that horrible call. I'm sure Big Ben wouldn't mind. Instead the fine money probably goes right into a Robme Gooddell Cayman Island bank account.

Interesting that it was called just for the little dance-type reaction. I presumed he had said something. It's very difficult to see how that could be construed as a taunt at all - what angle was the ref looking from?

My two cents......Blandino coming out and saying that calls are wrong, ie, taunting on Gay, roughing the passer on Worilds, does nothing. While neither of these calls affected the outcome of the game, they easily could have. We then would be having different discussions. I also remember an opponent 5rd down play that came up an easy yard short making it 4th and 1. It was moved to a first down without explanation. IMO referees need to be held accountable, just like players and coaches. Every Friday, just like they do with players, name refs ie. Ed Camp, Jeff Triplette, Bill Leavy, have been fined, reprimanded, or whatever the case may be for call in last weeks game. Grading them down so they don't work the post season doesn't seem to be doing the job.
