New Era taking over NFL Hats

This may interest only me, I have sort of a baseball cap obsession/collection. I buy the new draft hat every year (even though I haven't been that impressed with them lately)... I love this year's design but I hate the damn flat bill hats. New Era is taking over the hats along w/ Nike taking the jerseys.

 

I cant stand most new era hats but for the most part i only like vintage hats

 

won't buy em They should produce both styles,who is in charge of marketing? Justin Beiber

 

Are they not able to be folded down to get rid of the flat rim?

 

They look like they are 5950 hats. In pictures they look like the flat bill style but the are the hats they wear in the majors. The bills are a little bigger but i have had a pirates hat for two seasons now and it doesnt feel anywhere near broken in. They switched to this fiber poly blend so the hot water trick doesnt work either. Like i said though vintage fits only for me.

 

They're not made to. I have a couple of them that I've bent slightly, but not the same.

 

I doubt they are going to make a flat brim only line. Could you see DL standing on the sideline with a flat brim hat on.

 

My hat is 9 years old I wanted to get a new one this season.. That grey one won't do it (I like the colour).. but It's too busy looking I don't like the logo getting covered like that or the flat brim.. I may get last years draft hat, that one is half decent looking.

hahaha that's hilarious . Imagining 40 year old men with beiber haircuts and wearing those type of hats is just too much.

What about those hats they wore last year......you know the one that was white i believe with two stripes on the front and a steeler emblem? those were pretty cool.

I absolutely despise flat bill hats! Structured bill, with the retro beat up look. What does New Era think, we're all 12???

Its a generational thing. I remember when I was a kid playing baseball, when we got our uniforms and hats the first thing we all did was bend the bill of our caps. If you wore a cap with a straight bill you were a nerd, no exceptions. I am in my 40's now and still every time I buy a hat the first thing I do is bend the bill.

 

Aaah a bunch of old farts here. Come on, this is the new look. Theyr awesome!!

 

well I sent New Era an email asking if they're going to make caps where you can bend the Brim? Guess I'll have to wait til monday for the answer.

 

This is so true!
I have a specific 64 oz. cup I use for sticking my hats in to structure the bill to my liking. Works like a charm.

 

I have a specific 16 oz. Steelers tumbler for beer.
After emptying about 12 of those, anything looks good.
Maybe I could wear may pants of my a**.
Oh, wait, at my age I think I already do that.
