Maybe he just wanted to. Maybe he loves it here that much. Maybe he is hoping with an increased cap number next year and possibly Ben's contract off the books (if he doesn't come back in 2022) that he can sign long term in Pittsburgh.

I'm saying he would've made 13 million if he hit the incentives. Someone has to spell everything out for you to understand?

Why not sign long term then? It's clear with the deal his main focus was trying to improve his stock for next yr. Why possibly "in his head" squander tens if millions for an extra 1 guranteed and what a possibly extra 3? Where you may not even hit the incentives due to where you at?

Well when you’re trying to convey a message it’s best you get the wording right.

Josh Allen also changed his mechanics to improve his accuracy. It wasn't just the addition of Diggs.

You phrased it poorly. You wrote that it was $13 million in incentives. The proper phrasing would be $13 million with incentives.

    You are correct.
Also 1 year doesn't make a Qb. Pat's will be different in that division this year.

They will be a lot better, but Allen is legit.

I think Diggs was the biggest reason. Having that number 1 guy that's elite like that does wonders for a qb. Not saying Allen didn't have the ability or skills but i don't think he has anywhere near the season he has without Diggs. Diggs is a bona-fide top 5 receiver he proved to not just be a number 2 he looked better than Adam thelien ever did.

I dont think Allen is a world beater. I think he comes back down to earth next yr. But I don't think he has that season without Diggs. Donavan mcnabb for as good as he was mever threw for over 30 tds until he had T.O and he caught half of those. Brady threw 50 with moss and he had half of those. Having that guy at WR can do wonders for a qb. Ben had the best seasons of his career throwing to who?

    This thread is about Nelson.

Well I hope we can get a nice draft pick or player for Nelson .

But if not , I can`t see the Steelers cutting him and getting nothing they will work something out with salary cap.

    Dallas needs CB help .

Hines Ward ,and S. Holmes. 2 SB wins.
Stats don't mean a lot 2 me. Only good 4 arguing.
Also he only threw 1 less td last year without ab , then the best year he had ab.

I dont think Dallas is touching the free agent market. I've been shocked by them making no moves with dak having this low cap hit this year. I think they looking at the draft probably surtain to pair him with Diggs

Hines is a number 1 and future hall of famer. And I mean eli has sb wins. They matter but they aren't the sole determining factor. And not just tds look at his yards.

I would try and send Nelson to SF or Minn. Both trying to shore up their secondary. I would hope for a 3.. but that's asking a lot.... ill take a 4... but I bet it might just be a conditional just to avoid cutting him outright.

Like I said. A month to late

So we have pretty much now lost half our starting D from last year. Haden is old and losing a step by the day. This is going to be ugly.

You know what's funny 2 your point about #1 Wrs?
Hines wasn't a number 1 wrs till we change QBs.
They drafted Wrs in the 1st round ...I believe back 2 back looking 4 a #1 and all it took was changing the Qb.
That's what I was getting at with Lamar, and other not so great QBs.
Be4 you say well Lamar won a MVP.....the Qb they took out was Kordell, and at one time he was Very close 2 winning a MVP, but could just never find that #1 wrs.

Players are more willing to risk not taking a long term deal this year because it's fully expected that the cap will go up a lot next year. This year is very tough cap wise in general league wide, so why sign a multi-year now when you might get twice that next year? I'm guessing that's the calculus that Nelson, JuJu, and others are counting on.

My guess this has more to do with getting AL signed than it was Juju
