It is worth checking, but the talent level was pretty low in the 80’s. I’m amazed Noll squeezed 2 playoff wins out those 80’ teams.

Leal has been a healthy scratch for roughly the last 8 weeks

Good reminder on the PI call. MR played a good game, he came in prepared. I just wish they called a few more deep passes and played to his strength.

That pick in endzone was weird, nicely thrown back shoulder, low, I think G.P. just drifted too much. The play by Elam was amazing to pick that off. Really showcased his athleticism. I think if GP and Mason had rapport on that throw through camp and the season, that is a TD. But G.P. was a little off all game I thought.
However, even more weird to me was the playcall, not to run it in there at that spot. We normally call a run there.

is this another indictment of coaching evaluation of talent or does he just suck?

I wouldn’t say Rudolph played a good game, that first qtr was bad, not just the interception but how many battered down passes plus two 3rd down passes into the stands.

He settled down after that and did what he could do with a piss poor game plan. I blame coaching for not putting him in position to succeed.

we disagree, but that is OK. Pickett is not NFL starter ready.

true, I remember a couple of those passes way over the receivers heads. He didn’t get rattled though. If the defense holds and we get the ball again down by 7…might’ve gone in our favor.

That one interception was a killer, hard to say who’s fault that was (MR took responsibility for it but maybe DJ could’ve helped him out)

Not much difference in the 2.... now if you mentioned coaching development instead of evaluation you may be on to something....
    I personally, think it's a combination of the 2
