My thoughts on regular season wk 17

That was a smart move by Harris, knowing that they could just take a knee once to end the game if he slid.

The officials should be charged with aiding and abetting a series of muggings for what they let the Seahawks do to Watt tonight. He should be furious. Yet again, he got hurt while being held. I think the just got the wind knocked out of him, which is going to happen when a guy is grabbing you and falling on you. Watt and Benton were both held on the touchdown pass by Smith that put the Seahawks up, 14-10.

There is no controversy. Rudolph is the starter next week. He made himself some money, too, which is why Pickett will enter competing with someone else for the job in 2024.

The middle of the defense is going to get abused at least until they get Fitzpatrick back. He can help cover up some of the issues, but inside linebacker is still a huge problem. Jack was decent today, but Walker is awful. Teams keep taking advantage of him.

Herbig needs to play more, at least on passing downs. He is just such a dynamic pass rusher.

Cole is terrible. He needs to go.

 

#10 isn't controversial in my opinion. We've been playing the wrong QB's all year. I have no doubt at this point that Mason wins one of the 3 Colts, Patriots, or Arizona games ar a minimum.

Not that I suddenly think he's good in the long run, but he's better than the other 2, and obviously so. That doesn't bode well for our coaches' abilities to evaluate the talent they have.

 

My observation this week is that I believe, this was the only game in the last two years that I actually had fun watching. I actually had fun! Most games are absolutely TORTUROUS anymore. Watching has become a self-flagellation-fest. Right or wrong, after two years, I only associate Kenny Pickett with agony. I see him and I just really wish I didn't have to watch this game. But, of course, you watch anyway.

 

.....not saying you, but flamers will flame JPJ for what Metcalf did to him but did you see Cam Sutton get destroyed by CeeDee lamb the other day? at least JPJ did better than Cam sutton.

 

GameDay experience was awesome. Seahawks fans were pretty cool... had some IPA called SeaPine or something like that. I'm not the biggest beer drinker but I'll give it a try again. Was in awe of Steelers Nation. I figured we had bout 1/3 of the crowd when I was coming up towards the stadium from Sluggers. After the game I'm leaning more than 1/3. Was awesome to 'take over their trap!'

I'm really liking this ball control offense. It really sucks it took 15 weeks to really put this together, but man just running it up and dahn the Seahawks throat was just an awesome sight to see.

JPJ had some rough moments, as does anyone against DK, but JPJ is going to be a star in this league. He's exceeding my expectations by a mile.
