We'll have to see the tapes, but they did not appear to be open outside the numbers. The INT that the Bears got was a much harder catch than the one that Williams threw right to Dugger (that he dropped). It happens I guess. The whole team left something to be desired as far as I can tell. Can't place this loss on Mason alone (or even primarily); Montez Sweat might have sacked Rodgers 6 times for all we know. Poor coaching, piss-poor special teams, defensive lapses and missed opportunities. Just a bad day at the office (keeping with our history in Chicago).

Garbage without the 2 turnovers....Williams was also inaccurate in this game but still score 31 points....coaching clinic by Ben Johnson

It was okay. They scored a TD, and had a fumble recovery takeaway. They allowed 31 and could not stop the Bears, but scored 7, so essentially they allowed 24 points. That's okay.

Couldn’t watch the game except for about 10 minutes and listened on the radio for most of the 4th qtr. Mason will never be more than an adequate back up. Win some lose more. Bring in Howard. This team needs a spark. Time to find out what he can do or if we need to draft a QB next year. Coaching has sucked for over a decade now. We need to desperately move in a different direction.

First 6 games Rodgers yes but last 3 have not been good and wouldn’t have made a difference today.

Imagine the middle of the field. Now imagine 3 Bears wide open for 60 minutes.

Hayward snapped the ball then just stood there for a couple seconds was very strange. Usually those guys push forward then get a push from behind.

The season is pretty much going chalk to my preseason prediction; however, how these games are playing out us what's frustrating. Just when I think this defense has turnt a corner and gave Tomlin and Austin flowers, they give us this performance. Scoring 28 pts should be good enough to win considering how well the defense played the past few weeks. I can bash Mason all day for not getting it done today but he's a backup for a reason, and I really doubt that Aaron wins this game as well.we've lost 4 of our last 6 anx and this just isn't going to get easier with Buffalo and the Ravens coming up.

Reading this Id think we lost 31-10. Way over the top on the Mason negativity.

If one just look at the top line stats then Rudolph looks respectable. Watching the game and seeing how many passes were behind the LOS or less than 10 yards I understand the reason for all the negativity. Not sure if this was in the game plan or these plays were called because of Rudolph’s weaknesses

Metcalf 5 catches for 22 yards. Prior coming to Pitts he was one of the top long ball guys in the game.

One team adjusted after the half… the other refused. The cheese is old n moldy for awhile yet now.

It was the game plan in the first half. It was all run run dink run dunk.
Mason was certainly the problem today. He had two giveaways, and scored only one touchdown. Scoring 21 points with two giveaways is not good, it's garbage.
The reason for coming short though is that he did not close the game out. It was a one score game in the fourth, he had two shots, and did not get it done.
That's what he needs to do. I would keep starting him until we are competitive like that at quarterback, and coming off the bench he is close. He just needs starting seasons to develop that extra juice for 60 minutes with the good base play he has. We are close, but no cigar yet.

Might have been a nothing-burger, but after the play there was a clip of Heyward clearing barking at Gainwell for something that happened on the snap.

I don't recall hearing a whistle before Washington gave Heyward a shove across the line - seemed to me he made it. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it sure does seem like we're on the wrong end of the "forward motion" whistle quite often.

Other than leaving the Bears receivers wide open in the MOF and not getting enough pressure on Williams they did great .

They are so inconsistent the only DL that can rush the passer is Benton.

Mason strong suit is supposed to be the deep ball but he couldn't connect on any of them, Jonnu continues to out snap Muth for some reason .

Apparently you don't watch much football. Short passes are the way offenses run nowadays.
    Leaders in BLOS passes:
    Mahomes
    Mayfield
    Nix
    Love
    Rodgers
    Prescott
    Allen

One thing I've noticed is, games the DL is able to bat down passes they have dominant performance; when they don't, they have games like today.

Refs being bad is part of the game and it usually equals out throughout a year but I felt the refs were worst than usual against us today.
