My thoughts on reg season wk. 1

Honestly that has been happening year after year where they start out slow.

 

God, I hope so. That is an incredibly lame attempt at a nickname anyway.

 

It's also fairly safe to say that much of Steeler Nation will be taking the Lord's name in vain on Sundays as well.

 

I blame Pickett more than I do Canada for the inept offense, Diontae had an easy TD opportunity, but Pickett threw it low and behind him.

 

I blame Dave more than Eddie for breaking up the band but if they both would have gotten out of their own way, what awesome music they could have made.

 

King was inactive and Marcus Robinson did not get any snaps on Defense.

Would bringing in these 2 players on Defense have helped on Sunday against the 49ers?

 

Terrible first outing almost all the way around so no real need to point out the obvious. Outside of watt is was a team effort in coaching and playing terrible. It's only the first week so hopefully the ship rights considerable and quickly so they aren't in must win situations early in the season. Remember back in the 90s getting shellacked by the cowgirls by about the same score but ended up winning 11 or 12 games and made it to the championship game. Hoping for something like that to happen.

 

They need to activate King and Fehoko in week two.

 

The poor offensive design was likely part of them not getting anybody open on the first few drives. As they fell farther and farther behind, that is when the poor throws piled up.

 

I don't know that Robinson would have made a difference, and King hadn't been with the team very long. He needs to learn the defense. I certainly hope he is active against the Browns.
