I totally agreed on all. I want KFP to start, but if He can't go Mason should. There are some in here that fear to see this. Exactly what You said about Trubisky.....everything that people can, or may point out are weakness by KFP.....have always been even worse weakness by Trubisky. For the 7 million time. Trubisky has played under 4 HCs, and OCs, and has not been really good except one year, and even that year....his best year ever......he was still one of the worst Qbs at passing down field.

I guess You forgot that He was knocked out of the game, and that He beat Duck in preseason, and practice to make Him a starter, and even after He was benched.....it wasn't very long before they pulled Duck, and stuck Him back in. What Trubisky did for one Year as a Bear means nothing here.....especially since He has had 4 HCs, and 4 OCs, and has had only one great year out of all of them.

See they get really nervous....,but nobody can dispute as a Steeler
Mitch Trubisky: is 2- 3 with 4tds, and 5 ints
    Mason : 5 -4 -1 with 16 tds, and 11 ints.
Hell let's add another team for Trubisky since He left Chicago.....with the Bills Trubisky: 0 tds, and 1int.

Even if we have prime Tom Brady, no one is fearing this offensive play calling. Pickett is in his second year after spending 5 years at Pitt. It’s time to cut the leash and let him audible when needed

Sad, but ultimately true. None of our QBs are safe right now!

    No!

The Hit Mason took in that Baltimore game should have made it a crime for the Steelers to put him back on the field so fast. They rushed him back onto the field way too early in 2019.

Now, flash forward to 2023. If Mason had showed anything this preseason, he would be a starting QB in the league this year for the Cardinals or Jets. The NFLs new rule about an emergency 3rd QB is the only reason Mason made the 53-man roster and is not currently sitting on the Steelers practice squad.

If KP can’t play, it will be Mitch, but it won’t last long and Mason will get his shot if KP is not ready by then.

behind this offensive line and this coordinator I don’t know if it makes much difference between Mitch and Mason to be honest. Mason might make a few more nice looking TD passes than Mitch and Mitch might run for more yards but we’ll still be pretty bad. Mason will end up concussed and Mitch will be run out of town.

The big problem is that everyone in the league has figured out how to defend Matt Canada dink offense. They crowd the line of scrimmage and challenge you to throw deep. Canada hasn’t adjusted and he calls the same stupid plays resulting in numerous third and long. The bad offensive line hasn’t helped. Another sad truth is that Kenny has a weak arm. Couple times, receiver has been open deep. but Kenny’s throw allowed DB to catch up. Mason has the best tools to overcome what defenses are throwing at us. His deep ball is pretty good. The big problem is Canada and there are Steeler dedicated websites that have dissected his ineptitude. Ultimately it’s Tomlin’s bad coaching for not recognizing it. I heard a rumor that Canada helped with getting Tomlin’s son a football scholarship at Maryland. Whatever the reason, staying with that joke of a coordinator is brutal decision making. A good offense should avoid getting in third downs. There is absolutely no respect by teams that Steelers are going to beat anyone deep, on first downs. What’s the harm in doing max protection and sending two deepish route on first down. The big tight end then can help protect or if there is no pressure, slip out for 5 yard pattern ( or the running back). Our low IQ offense cannot figure out to take what defense gives them. If Kenny P cannot exploit the long passes due to noodle arm or being inaccurate, then he doesn’t belong in this league.

The Dino thing is a rumor I posted this years ago. The fanboys will dismiss it as ridiculous and it can’t be proven but it’s certainly a possibility. The other possibility is that Mike T is a moron which may actually make more sense.

STD I’m not disagreeing with you but you are arguing who is the best suckiest QB. They both blow. It’s like saying who is the smartest on the short bus. It’s really a moot point and if KFP or Big Kenny or tiny hand Ken doesn’t start improving he will be right there with them.

If Dino was given was a football scholarship by Maryland while Canada was the football coach there, where's the rumor?

Do I think he is an NFL starter, no. Do I think he never was given a chance, yes.

If this season turns to crap I'd want him over Trub.

FWIW, If Kenny can’t start I’d like to see Mason behind center as well. Chris Hoke is also in that camp. Watching Mitch is like watching paint dry and noticing all of the streaks. At least with Mason he throws a pretty deep ball and may be able to connect on a few with GP and CA.

He’d better start showing us something…anything. I was all in on Kenny but my confidence level at this point is hanging by a thread. I’m hoping that once the Steelers bring in a real OC, KP will become a real QB, but the jury’s still out at this juncture.

Put in Mason. He is more mobile than the other 2. Or letting him sit and pay him money for sitting.

Mason more mobile than Kenny or Mitch? In what universe? He’s not immobile like Ben his last season, but no D is afraid of him tucking and running. I worry about his pocket awareness as well. Seems to move into the rush at times and doesn’t feel the pressure when he needs to.

If KP gets dinged even a little and it's not going well, I expect him to sit or be told to. The team will shield him from embarrassment.

It’s a rumor that it’s the reason MT hired him. Nobody can say that’s the reason with certainty.

I don’t think there is much separating Mitch and Rudolph so probably doesn’t matter much who they choose. Mitch is terribly inconsistent and Rudolphs short/intermediate game is terrible. Pick your poison.

Maybe with Rudolph, teams have to respect the deep ball more opening things underneath assuming Rudolph can then make those throws.

Or you roll with Trubisky and hope you get one of his good games.

They need to upgrade their backup QB’s.

Why are You arguing what I already said. I said None have shown being great. I don't think Mason is the answer , but He better than Trubisky as a Steeler. The facts are there, but people live in their feelings, and not facts. That's been shown throughout the history of Man....everywhere. since leaving Chicago Trubisky has thrown 4 tds, and 6 ints,(that includes with the Bills)and almost another if not dropped last Sunday in the little He played. Yes Mason right now is the one eyed King in the land of the blind.
