    Do you have to like "turn in" your earnings on your taxes? That's what people would have to do down here. The gvt would get a portion of it. A pretty dang hefty portion I would say.

    Nope. We don't have to pay taxes on lottery, casino or sports betting winnings up here. The only exception is if I do it as a full time job, then I have to pay taxes on it, but I'll never have a large enough bankroll or make enough money at it to do it for a living.

    Oh. Down here it is quite a big portion. Like when somebody wins something on a game show they get taxed a ton on it. Also lottery winners get taxed like crazy as well.
