But, is he really the smartest? Or is it a combination of talent, luck and rules changes? Peyton was pretty damned football smart. So is Aaron Rodgers. Staubach was pretty brainy too. Claiming that Tom-Tom is the smartest, maybe ever is just an opinion, kinda like saying Santonio Brown is the greatest.....

I said I have no idea if Brady is the smartest or not. My point is that if you thought the claim, not made by me BTW, of him being the smartest QB was about anything besides football smarts, you're either just being a nitpicking jerk or completely lacking in common sense.

My reply wasn't meant for you. It's for the guy who claimed Brady was the smartest ever. Unless you two are the same......

I meant best ever at those qualities thus making him the smartest player ever. Not only that he spent majority of his career being coached and taught by the smartest coach ever in belichick.

being a doctor doesn’t make you a smart nfl player lmao. I’m talking smartest in terms of the X’s and O’s Of the game. Not your intellectual ability outside of football. You all think ab isn’t the sharpest knife in the draw but he clearly understands football to a T with his ability to know how to run his routes based on what the defense is giving him. And sharpe may not be the smartest guy in the world but I’m strictly talking about his football knowledge when I quote him and things in the confines of the sport. Some of you can’t separate the 2 which is why you hate players for the person they are and not the player they are.

Ok. so prove to me someone is smarter than Tom Brady in terms of FOOTBALL. There’s a reason he’s still playing at the level he’s playing at a age no one else in history has and it’s not because of how physically talented he is.

what proof do you have that anything anyone says on this board are accurate and true? Ab has millions of followers that co-sign everything he does as right. Who’s to say you, and everyone on this Baird are speaking more truth than them?

For all of Peyton’s smart why the hell did he routinely make mistake after mistake when it counted the most? Why couldn’t he figure out the LOB with arguably more talent than Tom Brady had who shredded them? And I can’t call it luck with 7 sbs with different coaches, players, teams, rules, etc… I hate Brady but I have to give him his due.

you brought up doctors which has ZERO to do with nfl knowledge. There’s coaches with college degrees that don’t more more than coaches who didn’t study past high school in terms of FOOTBALL.

You gloss right over the "combination of". I left out cheating. As far as Peyton, how many of those mistakes were due to wrong routes, receivers slipping, etc. He did make a lot of mistakes, just not convinced they were all his fault.

I mean Marvin Harrison and Wayne are two of the greatest to ever play. I don't think it was primarily due to wrong routes. And they had cheating but Brady then went to a losing franchise in Tampa and led them to the sb with no signs of cheating so he dispelled all that as well. Much as I hate the guy I have to give him his credit. Also talent wise he's below average. Peyton honestly even had a better arm than him. But he's able to still dominate because of his mental ability.

How does going to Tampa Bay, a team that was just a QB away from being a contender, negate the games he won in NE that were aided by cheating?

Because if he only one due to cheating regardless if a team was a qb away or not he would've never won because he only won due to cheating according to you.
