December 1st will be my first game at Heinz (along with my son, and my dad, who is a Browns fan).

I'm used to using mobile tickets for concerts, and have previously been able to add tickets from Ticketmaster to my mobile Google Pay wallet.

This page from steelters.com says to add the tickets to your digital wallet:

    https://www.steelers.com/tickets/digital-tickets/

However, unlike with concert tickets, when I look at my NFL tickets, there is no option to add them to my digital wallet.

I assume I'll be just fine just showing the barcode from the Steelers app or the Ticketmaster app, but is there something different about NFL tickets and the Google Pay wallet, despite the fact that the Steeler's website says to use the digital wallet?

I had a HUGE problem with this earlier this season ... when I sent the tickets from Ticketmaster directly to my phone's digital wallet it somehow lost the barcodes?

I had to open the Steelers App and and link my Ticketmaster account inside the app in order to get the tickets with barcode in my Steelers App.

Then to top it all off, my phone's data is really spotty around the stadium, not sure why, and I had to use my Dad's phone as a hot spot just to access the tickets. All said it has a HUGE pain.

Hopefully you can just scan directly from Ticketmaster app it would make it 10x easier than all those extra steps.

Contact the ticket office. I've scanned from app but I haven't used this year and I'm sure the rules are changing yearly with trying to make thinks more secure.

Not to mention that 4 bucks wouldn't score you a single item inside the stadium.

That's what we did when we took our kids to see Twenty One Pilots this past summer. It was also mobile tickets only, and for those, I didn't bother transferring to the digital wallet and just used the Ticketmaster app.

The good thing about using the Ticketmaster app is that once you view the tickets on your phone in the app, it saves them so that if you can't get cell or wifi signal, it will still display your tickets, and change the barcode every 15 seconds like it does when you have a connection.

After reading around a little more, it seems like transferring to the digital wallet is more of a suggestion for being able to tap for entry, rather than a requirement, and that the barcode in the Ticketmaster app should still work just fine. At least that's what I hope to be the case.
