Sounds like the team is optimistic about Minkah possibly playing on Sunday.

I would not risk it. this season has good chance it is over. and also Kazee is not a bad backup for him. he is not fitz at all, but he is not a bad backup. and lastly sounds like Chase is out, which is what you need fitz for.

to me that is 3 reasons of to let him rest more. unless he feels amazing.

Tomlin said he wanted to play last Sunday

    On a humorous note:

"We saw him during the walk-through, and Minkah is just grumpy all the time so you're not thinking anything of it," Heyward said.

I believe Ben had it done when he was in his motorcycle accident and didn't miss a single game

He had the motorcycle accident in June of 2006. He had the appendectomy Sept. 3, 2006, just a few days before the opener. He missed the opener and played the following week, but he was not good the first half of that season. I always thought it was because he wasn't fully recovered from the physical trauma of both incidents.

The Steelers have tried these hybrid LB's, They don't work. 300+ OL throw them around like ragdolls.

Edmund does not appear to play well the closer he gets to the line of scrimmage

He gets tangled up and winds up chasing the play downfield

I believe this maybe close to what they had in mind.....if they ever had all 3 healthy at one time.

You wouldn't have to play him on the line, or actually that close to the ball . I think it's a pretty good idea on 3rd downs.

No, I was referring to Edmunds going out in coverage ... rather then having, let say, spillaine.

Edmunds would 100% be better than Spillane.
