Give him a full training camp and have him study the play book and he will be fine. Better then one throw wonder Landry Jones

I think even Michael Scott would rather have Toby back before I would want to have Vick back. LOL!

But he's a veteran with experience, so you know, at least he won't fumble.

Were fine at RB we'll have Williams and Bell back healthy. Toussaint is fine as is Todman.

People are being too hard on Vick. He still has enough left in the tank to be a #3 QB in the Arena League.

Vick is not going to help us. He's terrible.
I love how they made the excuse that he had only been here a seven weeks when he made his first start and stunk it up. Ryan Mallet was with Baltimore a week and he tore us up.
    Bye bye Vick.

Maybe he wants one more year to be able to play himself in madden?

5 days to be exact. And to think that some people on here think Tomlin should actually be Coach Of The Year. Couldn't even beat a guy with a generic play book.

"Year" being the keyword, not 1 game. Did a hell of a job this season. He made some bad decisions but coach of the year doesn't mean being perfect. I don't know if he should be coach of the year but its not laughable.

Of course he wants to come back for another year. Where else will he make that kind of money?

The only problem is that I doubt the feeling is mutual.

Guys on the radio seem to think as long as Grad heals up from his injury, we'll keep him. We should get rid of Vick & Jones but I'd like to keep Grad. He's not a big play guy but he can manage the game & that's all you can ask for in a backup.

Not to divert the thread, but I'm not so sure about Grad.

Everything on paper says he's exactly what you say: someone who can manage the game, safe pair of hands, etc. But every time I've seen him in a game, he hasn't actually looked like that. So I'm thinking that while on paper he's a good back up, in reality he's more a Leftwich than a Batch, and probably far less of a Leftwich.

I'd like to see them bring another vet back up in, at least for the competition. However, I think they'll stick with Grad and Jones. And some obligatory UDFAs to make the tea during camp.

I don't hate Tomlin at all. I just don't think he's as incredible a head coach and some want to make him out to be.

He was a secondary coach in Tampa and I expected better results with the on going CB problems but yet year in and year out we see the same difficulties in coverage duties. It's frustrating.

Another issue I have is he plays favorites over more skilled players. If you can't see this then I can't point it out anyways.

MT did a great job with what he had to overcome this year with suspensions and injuries but COTY he is not.

BTW - My 8 year old son thinks I hate Tomlin too but nothing is more further from the truth. A few minor adjustments along with no suspensions and fortunate good health and the Steelers in 2016 will be very difficult to beat. A good Chance of winning SB LI.

I have ADHD- I can look at the word if & end up diverting the thread By the 2nd page I usually forget about what the thread was in the first place. You were just replying to what I said.

Until you mentioned him, I forgot about Leftwich too. As far as Grad, you're probably right. But he's better than Vick & Jones. At least we know what we have with Grad. After the Michael Vick debacle, (which pissed A LOT of people off & wasn't worth it at all) I'm half afraid that we'll bring someone in that will be as bad or worse than Vick.

I like Grad he seems like a good guy. But if Ben were to go down, I'd like to roll the dice on a young guy. That's how you find the the Kurt Warner's and Tom Brady's of the world. Grad is good, might get you out of the stadium, but your season is over if he is your guy.

I can. He is still elite imo. He just wants to win that ring and I think he will take us there. Ben is satisfied with 2 rings. Just look at the offseason he let himself go. Ben had the worst statistical season in awhile and he purposely tore his shoulder so that he can leave the playoffs early and get home to eat some twinkies.

Mike Vick is the key to #7. People keep saying how bad he is but remember that Balt game it was AB who dropped that for sure TD, it was AB who couldn't jump 8 feet to get that ball on 4th down. God told Vick "you get a ring, I'll tell the ghosts of the dogs past to stand down". Vick wants it.

Someone actually put Michael Vick and Elite in the same message. Unbelievable. Vick stunk it up with the jets and came here and stirred the pot. He was so ineffective I would have had AB play quarterback and run the wildcat. Yeah, AB blew the touchdown but how many drives did Vick have before that where we went 3 and out, missed wide open receivers and just look clueless in his execution. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he came to the team midseason but I would of expected a better showing from a veteran.
