Art's hiding behind it being Tomlin's decision I bet, cowardly.

Actually happened in a family household when we were watching the boys. Sort of an accident too but anyhow, after that incident my one sister bought 15 of those Steeler Bricks made of foam for Christmas presents.

You are quite unaware of how things really run on the Steelers.

Took me long ass time to go against Mike. He absolutely helped this organization do great things but those days are far in the rearview mirror. I don't dislike the guy but his message has gone stale.

Sometimes I think I just liked the idea of my team only having 3 HC in 54-55 years.

We saw Bill Cowher without Ben. Good HC. Did you ever wonder what Tomlin would have looked like without a top tier QB?? Food for thought! (sorry, just watched Sherlock Holmes)

I started to sour on the coaching decisions last year. I was duped by needing a mobile qb and ben was over the hill. The further this season trends the way it is I'd like them to clean house. Id love for them to get rid of Canada now, but thats not happening "OBVIOUSLY". Wins and losses will happen but seeing them lose the way they do is infuriating.

Or you're just making up assumptions based upon the fact the Rooney's have had 3 HCs in 50ish years, whilst ignoring that Noll and Cowher fired assistant coaches during their tenures. Hell, Noll fired 5 assistant coaches after the 89 season. Firing assistant coaches isn't beyond this organization. This is on Tomlin alone.

So for me, Tomlin has blind loyalty and that blind loyalty is his downfall.

Well, Tomlin has solved everything. Padded practices will keep the defenses of other teams from knowing what plays Matt Canada is calling. Brilliant.

You speak as if the 70's are proof of how things are now done. You DO realize the team in the 70's was run by Art Sr., right? And that Noll if far removed from being a Tomlin? Do you really think it was Tomlin who hired and fired both Haley and Arians? Are you going to sit there and try to assert that? You DO know that Noll retired because Rooney demanded that he fire some of his assistant coaches, right? So change was occurring even then.

Yeah… minor changes to the depth chart and padded practices. Big changes are a’comin! I do like promoting Desmond King on defense, and I think it will help.

The thing that sticks in my craw the most in the article is saying that we lost our short yardage ability (or identity or whatever he said) without Moore and Freiermuth. First, Jones’ rookie issues are generally not in the run game, and it’s not like Moore is a bulldozer in the run game. Second… seriously? Freiermuth only provides value in short yardage situations if we throw the ball. As a blocker he’s been terrible.

Oh no? You didn't? When was 50 years ago, I wonder?

And the examples i listed where from 1989 and 1999. Cowher fired Ray Sherman and Kevin Gilbride, and Donahue fired. You don't know the organization at all.

Nope you are wrong again but it does show you are unaware of how the Steelers were really run

Dan Rooney took control of day to day operations in 1969 and hired Chuck Noll

See isn’t it fun to learn from the big dogs here

Ummm, yea skirting from the topic at hand and moving goal posts. What else would I expect from someone who screams "racist!" at the top of his lungs where there isn't any? Pathetic.

What is worse is they'll just let his contract run out whatever the outcome will end up being this year..He won't be back, but they're willing to sacrifice the whole season of this guy to not hurt feelings or whatever.. It's an organizational failure.. In real life if you don't produce at your job you get replaced. This guy is the definition of underachiever and this coach doesn't have the balls to do anything about it, and with some luck it may spell the end of the line for Tomlin also. Culture needs to change.
